Engineered and Manufactured in Taiwan, by one of the largest and most respected semiconductor foundries in the world, Taiwan Semiconductor (TSMC), in its VisEra Technologies division. Wafer-Scale Production Process – TSMC VisEra wafer foundries provide a world-class level of quality control and productivity, which reduces defects and lowers production costs. It also improves miniaturization and flexible customization. TSMC VisEra uses an 8-inch silicon wafer base manufacturing process, and components are attached using eutectic bonding and flip chip technology for superior performance.

*Flip chip technology uses holes and bumps to allow components to be attached to integrated circuit boards, without the need for soldering. This saves substantial assembly time and improves connection quality.*Eutectic bonding is the process of attaching the silicon wafer to a layer of metal.




Superior Thermal Dissipation Technology – Heat dissipation is an important issue with high-powered LED solutions. Better heat dissipation results in increased safety and longer product operation life. The superior heat dissipation capability of HILED products begins with its components and materials. VisEra components use silicon wafers and aluminum nitride (AlN) substrates for its LED chips.




Conformal Phosphor Spray Coating – This is another unique feature of the VisEra VISES chips. They are treated with a phosphor coating, which protects the chips from damage, lowers failure rate and greatly increases product consistency during manufacturing. Bin yield for the manufacturer is greater than 99%. That means less than 1% of the chips produced are not of optimal quality. This coating process also enhances the performance and consistency of the LED light’s correlated color temperature (CCT).

Wafer-Level Lens Molding Technology – This process blends light from multiple LED chips to reduce multiple shadow effect, making the light emitted sharper and illuminated objects clearer. This technology is internationally patented by TSMC VisEra.
