• Rack mount the device in a secure location.• Connect a monitor and a keyboard to the connectors located on the back panel of th

device.• Connect the appliance directly to the LAN (Local Area Network) using the rst onb

Ethernet connector on the left side of the back panel.• Connect the power cord to the power socket on the back panel of the device.

Console Installation• Power on your device. After the system has booted, startup options are displayed on

the monitor.• SelectF2, and then select OK .

NOTE: The F2 option is chosen by default after a few seconds.• Select theAuto installation type. The le system is installed.• SelectOK to begin the Network con guration.• Enter the Network Settings using the information from your checklist in Step 2, the

select OK .NOTE: At this point you only need to enter the network information for your LAN network connection table to connect to the device via a web browser in the following steps.

• Select aRegion , Country and Time zone .• The initial console con guration is now complete and the system console screen is

displayed. You must now connect to the system using a web browser to continue withe remainder of the installation.NOTE: After the console installation completes, the system displays a message warning that the “Mail Sis stopped”. This is normal. The Mail Delivery Settings must be con gured before you start the mail syste

Web UI Setup Wizard• Open a Web browser and enter the IP address of the device using the address entere

in the network con guration in Step 4, such as: https://10.0.1.10.NOTE: Because WatchGuard XCS uses a self-signed certi cate, you will see a certi cate warning in yourbrowser. It is safe to ignore the warning (Internet Explorer) or to add a certi cate exception (Mozilla Fire

• Monte en rack el dispositivo en una ubicación segura• Conecte un monitor y un teclado a los conectores ubicados en el panel trasero del

dispositivo• Conecte el dispositivo directamente a la LAN (Red de Área Local) usando el primeconector Ethernet incorporado al lado izquierdo del panel trasero• Conecte el cable eléctrico al tomacorriente en el panel trasero del dispositivo

Instalación de la Consola• Encienda el dispositivo. Luego de que el sistema se haya iniciado, se desplegarán la

opciones de inicio en el monitor.• SeleccioneF2 y luego seleccioneOK .NOTA: la opción F2 se elige por defecto luego de unos pocos segundos• Seleccione el tipo de instalaciónAuto . Se instalará el sistema de archivos.• SeleccioneOK para comenzar a con gurar la red.• Ingrese la Con guración de Red usando la información de la lista de veri cación

armada en el Paso 2, luego elijaOK .NOTA: en este punto usted sólo precisa ingresar la información de red para su conexión de LAN, para podconectar el dispositivo mediante un navegador web en los siguientes pasos.• SeleccioneRegión , País y Zona Horaria .• La con guración inicial de la consola está ahora completa y se le mostrará la pantall

de la consola del sistema. Ahora usted debe conectar el sistema mediante unnavegador web para continuar con el resto de la instalación.

NOTA: luego de que la instalación de la consola se complete, el sistema muestra un mensaje advirtiendo 1que“el sistema de correo se detuvo”. Eso es normal. Las con guraciones para envío de correo deberán hacerseantes de que usted comience a usar el sistema de correo.

Asistente de confguración de la inter az web de usuario• Abra un navegador web e ingrese la dirección IP del dispositivo usando la dirección

ingresada en la con guración de red en el Paso 4, por ejemplo https://10.0.1.10.NOTA: dado que el WatchGuard XCS utiliza un certi cado auto rmado, usted verá una advertencia sobrecerti cado en su navegador. Es seguro ignorarla (en Internet Explorer) o añadir una excepción de certi cad(en Mozilla Firefox).

• En la pantalla de Login ingrese el ID por defecto de usuario, admin, y la contraseñadefecto, admin .• Ingrese elNombre de la Organización y la dirección deemail de admin del servidor,

usando la información de la lista de veri cación que armó en elPaso 2 .

• Cambie la contraseña por defecto• Seleccione susCon guraciones de Interceptación (Intercept Settings) para elControl

de Conexión y elAntispam .• SeleccioneContinuar para completar la inicialización.• El asistente deCon guración de la interfaz web de usuario ya está completo, y se

mostrará la página respecto a la clave.NOTA: el sistema de correo está inicialmente en estado detenido. Las con guraciones para envío de corredeberán hacerse antes de que usted comience a usar el sistema de correo.

instrucciones de esta página para:• Añadir una clave al WatchGuard XCS• Descargar las últimas actualizaciones de software• Instalar actualizaciones de software

Añadir una clave al WatchGuard XCS• Loguéese en la interfaz web de usuario• SeleccioneAdministración > Sistema > Feature Key , y luego haga clic enActualizar.• Copie el texto del archivo de la clave que usted recibió en elPaso 1 y péguelo en la caja de texto.• Haga clic enActualizar clave.

Descargar las últimas actualizaciones de so twareLa característica Security Connection contacta los servidores de soporte de WatchGuard paraveri car si hay nuevas actualizaciones de software.• Loguéese en la interfaz web de usuario.• SeleccioneAdministración > Actualizaciones de software > Security Connection .• Seleccione la opciónHabilitada y luego habilite la opciónAuto Download para permitir que

las actualizaciones de software se descarguen automáticamente.NOTA: estas actualizaciones NO serán instaladas automáticamente. Deben instalarse manualmente medianteAdministración > Actualizaciones de software > Actualizaciones .

• Haga clic enAplicar y luego en el botón Conectar ahora , para ejecutar Security Connectioninmediatamente y buscar nuevas actualizaciones de software.

Disponibles (cargadas en el sistema, pero no aplicadas) y lasActualizaciones Instaladas (aplicadas y activas).

• Las actualizaciones descargadas porSecurity Connection aparecerán en la secciónActualizaciones Disponibles .NOTA: si usted descargó y actualizó manualmente, haga clic enBrowse y navegue hacia el archivo de actualización

de software descargado en su sistema local, y luego haga clic enUpload .• Seleccione la actualización de software en la secciónActualizaciones Disponibles y luegohaga clic enInstalar .NOTA: luego de aplicar las actualizaciones de software, el sistema debe reiniciarse..
