A limb has fallen from the family tree.

I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.

Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.

The good life I lived while I was strong.

Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.

Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.

My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.

Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small.

Go on with your life, don't worry about falls

I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.

Until the day comes we're together again.

We, the family of Mr. Steve Terrell Harmon would like to thank

each of you for the acts of love, concern and compassion shown

during the passing of our loved one. May God continue to bless

each and every one of you and we ask that you continue to pray

for us as we face the days ahead.

A special expression of thanks is extended to Reverend Dr.

Andre Rogers and the Concord Baptist Church family and to

For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the

righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them

also that love his appearing.

II Timothy 4: 6-8 (KJV)

Mr. Steve Harmon was born

January 7, 1976, in Richland

County, South Carolina. He was

the oldest child of John and Julene

Harmon. Steve transitioned from

this earthly tabernacle on Friday,

December 22, 2017.

Steve graduated from Columbia High School and continued his

education at Virginia College and Fortis College. He worked at CMC

and Sizemore Security, and alongside his father in his heating and

air conditioning work. Steve was dedicated, compassionate, and

warm-spirited. He was christened at Union Baptist Church and

baptized at Friendship AME; and he later attended Youngs Chapel

Baptist Church. At the age of thirteen, alongside his sister, Steve had

his first experience with the Holy Ghost during Bible study with

Bishop Willie Kirkland, his great uncle.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Willie James Scott, Lula

Mae Harmon, and Wesley Harmon.

Steve is survived by his parents, John and Julene Harmon; four

sisters: Nicole Murray (Maurice), Kilida Harmon (Tyron), Shannon

Harmon (Darrin), and Kendria Gainey (Paris); grandmother, Mrs.

Carrie K. Scott; four nephews: Jaden, Nigel, Khaleb, and Juwon; and

five nieces; Jaleah, Zarah, Skylar, Shyheir, and Akiliah all of Columbia,

South Carolina. He also leaves seven uncles and twelve aunts; nine

great aunts and five great uncles; a special niece, London; and a host

of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

It’s sometimes hard to know

Why some things happen as they do

For so much joy and happiness

Was centered around you

It seems so hard to comprehend

That you’re no longer here

But all the happy memories

Will help keep you near

You’re thought about with pride, Son

With each mention of your name

Death cannot change a single thing

The love will still remain
