Not only are the connectors color coded but they are also shaped differently. The IR receivers feature a red square shaped connector while the IR emitters feature yellow round connectors. When installing in low light situations the plug in connectors can not only be differentiated by color but by touch as well.

The appearance of the products has also changed. The IR receivers are slimmer and the IR emitters feature more surface area for much improved adhesion.

Xantech Standard Broadband IR Receivers are best used in areas with little or no interference from sunlight, CFL (Compact Florescent Lighting), LCD monitors and plasma monitors These receivers feature a range of 50 feet and offer wide bandwidth reception between 30kHz and 100kHz.

Xantech LCD/CFL Friendly IR Receivers provide immunity to sources of IR interference such as CFL lighting, direct sunlight and LCD monitors. These receivers feature a range of 50 feet and offer an adjustable carrier frequency of 32kHz - 56kHz.

Xantech Plasma Friendly IR Receivers provide ultimate protection from rooms with heavy sunlight, plasma displays, CFL lighting and low-voltage lighting sources.
