XracingClass racing and performance

The closed class rules have ensured that all of the 250 plus X-35 yachts built are still competitive and can win championships. Therefore, own-ers and crews can spend time on the water perfecting boat handling and trim and developing their skills to be the fastest on the water without having to worry about the boat and equipment. The design, deck layout and equipment selected ensure that all trim functions are easily and effectively executed so that also minor adjust-ments can be seen on the instruments and in boat on boat performance. All established Sailmakers are involved in the class and developing their sail design together with the sailors and the class rules keeping the cost of each season’s race campaign to an affordable level for all owners.

XracingThe qual ity and strength

The quality and strength of the yacht have been proven itself in this exciting class where even America’s cup sailors have found their way in to battle with the best teams. The rules limit the numbers of true professionals meaning the best amateur sailors with good team work can win

titles.

National class organisations go as far abroad as Japan and prove the World Class “distribution” and establishment. New national class centres develop every year and allow new owners to enjoy the excitement of One Design racing in a yacht that is much more.

Comfort and qual ity

The X-35 is designed for racing but the designers also had in mind that the yachts could be used for dual purposes. The interior is made of high quality mahogany and provides all the creature comforts a family is looking for when cruising: • Ample storage• Comfortable sleeping berth for 6• Cooking and fridge facilities for serving fresh and nice meals• A relaxation saloon for the evenings• Optional heating and hot water system

Craftmanship and durabil ity

The split pantry and navigation section includes a gas stove with two jets and oven, a sink, storage for cutlery and a coolbox. The main switchboard can be fully controlled from the seat in front of the navigation area, and there is plenty of room for any navigation and electronic equipment needed by the

owner.

The mahogany interior is hand-polished with a satin finish; and the superb joinery reflects X-Yachts traditional craftsmanship, not only when new but also in the future.

The glass fibre components, such as the engine box and the toilet section, are finished in a high gloss gelcoat that gives a modern and fresh look and, with the glass fibre head innerliner, comfort below deck is guaranteed in both warm and cold weather.

International ly recognized one-designs for fun fair racing

X-Yachts have been winning races and regattas for over 30 years – the X-35 and X-41 are the distillation of that knowledge into fun,

fast one-designs.

Since the company’s launch in 1979, X-Yachts have built over 1,200 racing yachts. Based on that success, there were more than

100 orders placed before the first X-35 had been launched, with over 250 sailing today in fleets all over Europe, Japan, the USA

and rest of the world.

The X-35 was followed by her bigger sister, the X-41, and both models were awarded ISAF recognition within two years. Both

classes now enjoy European and World Championships, and have their own classes at the Copa del Rey and Kiel Week.

The X-35 and X-41 also have functional interiors for those who want the response of a racing boat combined with

accommodation for cruising.

Easy handling

Much attention has been paid to the details on deck to make the X-35 easy to handle. Her cockpit is open and functional with a pleasantly clean layout. Her large wheel allows the helmsman to have a good view of the foresail, yet requires very little effort to steer her through the sea.

Her refined control line system, on top of the coach roof, keeps the cockpit clutter-free, and allows easy and simple handling for both family and crew. All the deck equipment has been specially selected from top market brands in accordance with the X-35’s superior design and

high performance criteria.
