Official Match Day Programme 2014/15

Today we welcome Grappenhall Sports to Ericstan Park. It’ll be one of our toughest games of the season so far, as our visitors are another higher-league side to face us this season. The last home game against West Didsbury & Chorlton was a very pleasing game especially in the second-half, and just shows what the players can do. We have an important few months ahead with cups reaching the latter stages and crucial points available in the league, but I only want to focus on getting the result today and then we can prepare accordingly. On a side note, we’re looking for player sponsors. Please support the club by sponsoring a player for the remainder of the season for just £5. Enjoy the game, and stay for a drink in the clubhouse after the game with the players. Lee McGregor, WTFC 1

st Team Manager

Altrincham FA Senior Cup: In the semi-final of the Altrincham FA Senior Cup we will face Kartel Sports at home. Support the club in this massive match, with a final at stake, this is an important match for the club. Manager Lee McGregor had his say on the draw: “We are relishing the chance to get Wythenshawe into a cup final but this is no small feat, we will have to play at the top of our game but we have the quality amongst our squad to put a great performance in. Support the club, in what is going to be a very big game. Match to be played on March 7th.

Match Action

Wythenshawe Town welcomed West Didsbury & Chorlton Reserves to Ericstan Park in league action. Wythenshawe ran out very comfortable 8-0 winners, despite only being 2 up at half-time. Goals from Ben Brooks (2), Jason Walley, Ash Woodhead (2), Remmi Williams and Ben Con-nolly (2) secured a very comfortable game for Wythenshawe which guarantees top spot of Group 3 in the Challenge Cup. Lee McGregor had his say on the match: “We hadn’t really turned up first half but still went into half-time with a lead, the players testa-

ment to their quality showed the change that the management wanted to see and ran out 8-0 winners which can only be applauded”.
