What is SBIR and STTR• Small Business Innovation Research

• Allows subcontracting up to 1/3 of the work

• Small Business Technology Transfer• Requires SBC 40% and nonprofit research institution 30%

• a highly competitive program that encourages domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research and Development (R&D) that has the potential for commercialization
