After learning to juggle at the age 6, I have alwayshad a fascination with circus skills. Over the years I'veprogressed on to try different elements such as thediabolo, poi and staff as well as being able to balancenearly anything on my chin. Then the was the obviousnext stage of trying the same things but on fire.

I was lucky enough to run a business where I spent 5years teaching circus skills to people of all ages. Due toother work commitments I had to step back from thebusiness but still do it as a hobby when I can and am nowpassing it all on to my children.

Sarah Jane gained many years live performance and studioexperience on the London circuit. After moving to Surrey shebegan working with various party/wedding bands as well as returning to her first love of Jazz.She also sings with jazz duo, Blue Indigo, Funktion, Famous Five band and Average Funk Band.

Andy, although classically trained, has always had a passion for jazz. Andy now lives in Hampshirebut ran a successful function band in Kent for many years. He also played in well-respected jazzfunk outfit ‘The Groovechasers’, supporting artists such as Alex Garnett, Ray Gelato and DennisRollins. Andy also plays in Blue Indigo and with Famous Five band.

Mike's first gig was in Zomba, Malawi in the 1970s, and subsequent gigs have included Cairo,Warsaw, Vienna, Luxembourg as well as many venues in UK. Mike has played with Barry Gibb ofthe Bee Gees, Acker Bilk, Chris Barber, Kenny Ball and George Melly, amongst others.

Chris has, since retiring, devoted much of his time to playing a variety of instruments in severalbands in different genres of music.

Having played drums for almost a hundred years, Andrew is still trying his best...and we all knoweverybody loves a try-er! Dolores says he is very trying indeed.

Blue Soul Tree:Siblings Kevin (guitar/vocals)and Sally Jane (vocals)Hurst, with Keith Pew(didgeridoo) and Rik Watson(percussion). This uniquesetup has spawned a laid-back soulful sound, originalsongs and interpretations oftimeless tunes, tied togetherwith the hypnotic spirit of the‘singing-stick’ and captivatingrhythms of the congas.

STRAIGHT CIRCLESThe boys are thrilled to be playing again at Ripley rocks!played last year as “No entry”, since changed theirname to straight circles. Liam Cozens (Lead Vocal &Guitar) & Fred Schulp (Lead Guitar) formed their firstband at the age of just 14 with some school friendsback in late 2014, A split in March 2015, just daysbefore a booked studio session, was not going to hold

them back. The result was 4 great covers and valuablerecording experience, also recently been playing manygigs in pubs and parties.

The line up for Ripley Rocks 2016 includes the ever-enthusiastic Patrick Laroche (Bass Guitar), Chloe Brown(Drums), and Callum Cozens (Keyboards).

Expect a rocking set this year, with great coversincluding an excellent version of the Jam’s “Town CallMalice” etc…

RISK are a 3-piece ExperimentalRock band from Surrey, England.

Our main genres of influence areClassic Rock, Punk Rock, Alter-native, Progressive Rock, and NewWave Of British Heavy Metal.

We are a young, energetic, colourfuland vibrant performance piece,including many of our own songs

that range from Progressive epics to short and sweet Punk-esquecrowd-pleasers. We treat ouraudiences to all manners ofentertainment.

We strongly believe in conveyingmessages through our music thatour listeners will think on. The focalpoints in many of our songs tackle

ethical and political issues in themodern world that seem to just beconsidered the norm, when inactuality, something needs to bedone about the issues.

However, not all of our songs relate to real-world issues. Many ofour songs are heavily based onbiblical references, which in-turnare used as a metaphor for thingsthat affect us on a personal level.We always strive to tackle a subjectin a creative manner, using vividdescriptions in lyric content toengage the listener.
