WWE Employees Collect Toys for Local Children's Hospital

Introduction

Worldwide Express, a freight shipping and logistics firm based in Dallas, serves over 35,000 small and midsized businesses throughout the United States. At the same time, the company works to support individuals in its community through various service initiatives, partnering with nearby organizations to serve residents throughout north Texas.

During the 2014 holiday season, employees at the Worldwide Express corporate headquarters worked together to lift the spirits of patients at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

Already a regular fundraising partner of the hospital, Worldwide Express makes a substantial donation to Texas Scottish Rite each year during its annual 5K Fun Run and fundraiser. Seeking to expand its impact, the firm organized a toy drive for children staying at the hospital during the holidays. Employees collected items found on the hospital’s holiday gift wish list, including video games, children’s books, and art supplies. Altogether, the company gathered 157 toys, with donations including new PlayStation 4 and Wii U gaming consoles.
