Here we are at the start of another new adventure. After

the successes of Euro and World, the Master Series begins, the last to take off but the ideal fi rst step of the “WSK system” that accompanies drivers from the start to the vertex of the sport. A gradual growth, clear and well defi ned: the Master Series opens its doors to the “Mini 60” for this, the breeding ground for the new go-kart learners. It is a truly international breeding ground, seeing as there are drivers present from over 20 countries of the World, including outside of Europe. Again once more, in fact, it really is a good start!// Eccoci al via di un’altra, nuova, avventura. Dopo i successi di Euro e World, parte la Master Series, ultima a prendere il via ma ideale primo step del “sistema WSK” che accompagna i piloti dagli esordi ai vertici di questo sport. Una crescita graduale, chiara e ben defi nita; per questo la Master Series apre le sue porte alla “60 Mini”, fucina delle nuove leve del kart. Una fucina veramente internazionale, viste le presenze di piloti da oltre 20 Paesi del Mondo, anche al di fuori dell’Europa. Ancora una volta, insomma, è proprio un buon inizio!

Master, Euro, World. Three “steps” for a single journey that which is destined to become the clear and well defi -

ned path that the young go-kart drivers follow as they grow. From the fi rst race with a strong international fl avour felt from the very begin-ning (just look at where the drivers come from in this fi rst meeting), at the absolute height of go-karting with the World Series that has been demonstrated to be the “show” for excellence in professional go-karting. Between the two “extremes,” the Euro Series, which with its 5 tests in the top European circuits is the ideal challenging fi eld of the most important offi -cial Houses and of the best drivers. Since 2005 the project has been following this objective, and in 2010, with the World Series (held in 3 different continents: Europe, America and Africa), the articulation of the “system” has become even clearer. Also, consequently, the choice of categories is certainly not random: the Masters Series, in fact, is limited to Super KF and KZ1 and open to classes of the very young, from the “60 Mini”, a category that has never seen so many drivers from so many dif-ferent countries at the starting signal. The very fact that the two categories reserved for the very young (60 Mini and KF3) have seen such a large and enthusiastic participation leads us to understand that the direction taken is the right one. // Master, Euro, World. Tre “gradi-ni” per un unico cammino, chiaro e defi nito, che accompagni la crescita dei kartisti. Dalle prime gare con un sapore fi n da subito forte-mente internazionale (basta guardare i piloti di questo primo appuntamento), ai vertici del karting, con quella World Series che ha

dimostrato di essere lo spettacolo per eccel-lenza del kart professionistico. Tra i due “estre-mi”, la Euro Series, che con la sue 5 prove nei circuiti top europei è il campo di sfi da ideale delle più importanti Case uffi ciali e i migliori piloti del Mondo. Il progetto è dal 2005 che segue questo obiettivo e nel 2010, con la na-scita della World Series (disputata in 3 conti-nenti: Europa, America e Africa), l’articolazio-ne del “sistema” è diventata ancor più chiara. Anche la scelta delle categorie non è certo casuale: la Master Series, infatti, è chiusa a Super KF e KZ1 e spa-lancata alle classi per i più giovani, a partire dalla “60 Mini”, che mai ha visto al via così tanti piloti provenienti da Paesi diversi. E il fatto stesso che le due categorie riservate ai più giovani (60 Mini e KF3) abbiano visto un’al-ta ed entusiastica partecipazione, fa capire che la direzione intrapresa è quella giusta.

A WORLD ON TRACK

The three cham-pionship events are all held within the Italian borders, and, as seen from the

chart to one side, it is the home drivers to numerically make it their own. But the competition is fi ercer than ever, and there are a good 36 countries from around the world who have signed on at least one representative in one of the four categories present in the competition. The 25 Russians are impres-sive: no doubt, a sign of a movement that has grown exponentially in recent years and has already provided a glimpse of talent of enor-mous potential. But it pleases to discover that the bounda-ries of go-kart, even at the young level, are increasingly international, with drivers arriving from Australia to Ma-laysia, from Singapore to Ja-pan. The most amazing data, though, are that of the Mini 60, a category that for the fi rst time in history offers a truly international championship. The answer is quite apparent from the participation, it has been enthusiastic, with dri-vers from more than a good 23 different nations: defi nitely the best way to grow from the outset in the long and diffi cult path to the summit of

motorsport. // I tre appunta-menti di campionato sono tutti all’interno dei confi ni italiani, e, come si vede dalla tabella sopra, sono i piloti di casa a farla numericamente da padroni. Ma la concor-renza è agguerrita più che mai, e sono ben 36 i Paesi del Mondo che hanno iscritto al-meno un proprio rappresen-tante in una delle 4 catego-rie presenti in gara. Colpisco-

no, senza dubbio, i 25 russi, segno di un movimento che negli ultimi anni è cresciuto esponenzialmente e ha già fatto intravedere talenti dalle enormi potenzialità. Ma fa piacere scoprire che i confi ni del kart, anche a livello gio-vanile, sono sempre più inter-nazionali, con driver in arrivo dall’Australia alla Malesia, da Singapore al Giappone. Il dato più incredibile, però,

è quello che riguarda la 60 Mini, categoria che per la pri-ma volta nella storia propone un campionato veramente internazionale. E la risposta, si evince dalle partecipazio-ni, è stata entusiastica, con piloti provenienti da ben 23 nazioni diverse: decisamente il modo migliore per crescere fi n da subito nel lungo e dif-fi cile percorso verso i vertici del motorsport.

With the Siena trials, the Ma-sters Series kicks off, with the last of the three WSK

series planned for 2010 to start. The season fi nale, however, is still reserved for the not to be missed events. From 28 to 31 October, in the exotic Sharm el Sheik, Egypt, scenario, there will be the “big na-mes” of the World Series back on the track for the fi nal round which will decide the world champions of the sea-son. In late No-vember, however, it will return to where it all be-gan, or on the La Conca di Muro Leccese circuit, for the Nations Cup, an international event with reserved participation open to the Super KF, KZ2, KF2 and KF3 classes. The right to entry: ha-ving taken part in the WSK series and in various national champion-ships organised by the respective ASN. In short, it will be a true “end of season party,” where, of course, everyone wants to place their own defi nitive seal of victory. The show never ends.
