WP9 DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES
• The objective: • design and propose a set of acquisition and data collection schemes for safety-critical systems. These
schemes must be developed for the trackside systems only.• These set of monitoring, inspection and data collection systems shall not thread the safety critical
functionalities of the “under inspection” equipment. It can not compromise the security.• The proposed solution will be a modular hardware and software platform capable to be integrated
within the equipment to be monitored.

T9.1 Type of the data to be acquire
Common:• Peak and average current consumption.• Peak and average voltage.• Frequency.• Inductance.• Reactive and active power.• Temperature.• Humidity.
Specific from Point machines:• 3 axis vibration.• Control bar position.• Train vibration.
Specific from Technical rooms:• UPS.• Fire detection and alarm system.• Air conditioning.
Specific from interlockings:• Logs from the Maintenance
Support System of each manufacturer .
Specific from level crossing:• Power supply and battery voltage.• Acoustic signals.• Barriers and pedestrian gates.

T9.1 Acquisition process
The device has to be non-intrusive and easy to install. Electrical parameters have to be monitored with an isolated and high impedance circuit to guarantee no interference with the system operation.

T9.2 Trackside Location
All the A4R components should be located in an outside cabinet (IP67).One cabinet could store the devices of several assets.
The power supply could be:• Powered by a photovoltaic System.• Powered by a voltage source available at the
location.
The cabinet could have sensors like an unattended weather station recording (such as wind speed, wind direction, temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation).

T9.2 Communications
There are two options to implement the communications between the measure device and the A4R_MNG:• Wireless network access communications: 3G, GPRS, LTE, 4G or WIFI.• Wired network access communications: Optical Fibber or Copper cable.
If there are wires available to communicate the device with the A4R_MNG, the physical layer will be the copper wire. However, if there are no wires available, is needed a wireless network connection.
Data Protocol trackside - SCADA: Modbus, Inter Control Center Protocol (ICCP), Distributed Network Protocol (DNP3), and Object Linking and Embedding for Process Control (OPC) …

T9.2 Safety analysis
Due to the criticality of the signalling systems, it will be necessary toassess the acquisition and data collection devices to ensure that the safety integrity is maintained at all times.
This Safety Analysis will be performed under the framework of the Common Safety Method for Risk Assessment (CSM-RA) according with the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 402/2013
