An adjective modifies or describes a noun or pronoun.

An adjectives answers the questions: What kind? How many? Which ones?

Green is the adjective. It answers the question, what kind of grass?

For example, I like green grass.

The word two is an adjective. It tells us how many artists worked on the wall painting. This adjective gives specific information about the number of artists.
