Pattern 2:Information Questions when the answer is the subject of the
sentence
• When the answer to the question is the subject of the sentence, you do not use an auxiliary verb.• What you do is substitute the subject of the sentencefor the question words who or what
What was bought at Zara?
Her boots were bought at Zara.
Ivy Queen has painted her fingernails.
Who has painted her fingernails?
