A pronoun replaces a specific noun. For example: Linda is home. She is home.

When you replace a noun in the subject, you use the pronouns he, she, it, we, and they.

These are some examples of how pronouns replace nouns:

When you want to replace a noun with a pronoun, do the following steps:

1. Read the sentence and find the noun.

2. Underline the noun.

3. Think about which pronoun could replace the noun:

He replaces a boy or man. She replaces a girl or woman. It replaces a thing or animal. They replaces a two or more people or things.

4. Replace the noun with a pronoun.
