SIGMA WR Lens Protect Filter

Designed to protect the camera lens, SIGMA Lens Protect Filter is an ultra-clear, transparent filter

with surface reflection of less than 0.3%. In addition to its excellent low-reflection characteristics,

the filter features a new antistatic coating that protects the lens from static clinging of dust and offers

stain-resistance with easy cleaning of water spots and fingerprints.

Compared to a conventional filter, the SIGMA filter glass has improved flatness and intensity.

Designed to protect a camera’s expensive lens system from scratches and impact, SIGMA Lens Protect is essential gear

for any style of SLR photography.

Ultra Low-Reflection Optics: Less than 0.3%

The outer rim of the lens is treated with black-ink and features a special frame structure allowing the filter to achieve an ultra low-reflection of less than 0.3%. With suppression of surface reflection, the filter brings out the camera’s lens performance to its maximum, achieving excellent image quality.

Anti-Static Coating

This is a performance comparison of anti-static coating. First, the glass surfaces are cleaned with a cloth to generate an electrostatic charge and then dipped into Styrofoam. The filter without anti-static coating retains pieces of foam, while SIGMA’s filter with anti-static coating does not pick up foam.

SIGMA WR Circular Polarizer

The SIGMA Circular Polarizer is an essential lens filter for shooting landscapes and scenery, as it

suppresses surface reflection of the subject to enhance colour contrast. The high light-transmission

polarizer on the filter enhances colours to look more intense, shadows having more contrast for a

more dramatic look, and reduces lens flare in situations with intense sunlight.

Anti-Static Coating

Stress-free photography sessions are made possible by virtue of the anti-static coating that inhibits static clinging of microscoping dust. Even if the lens gets soiled, dust can be removed easily using an air-blower or with a quick swipe using a microfibre cloth.

Water and Oil-Repellent Coating

The surface of the filter lens is specially coated to offer excellent water and oil-repellency performance. The surface repels water spots and provides resistance to fingerprints.

High-Transmission Polarizer

Compared to a conventional polarizer, light transmission is increased by 30%, which affords easier viewing from the viewfinder. Colours become more intense with increased tone and saturation, and shadows appear darker with better gradation and contrast. Adoption of a high-transmission polarizer realises finite and detailed photographic expressions.
