([email protected]) or contact Suzi . ALL ITEMS NEED TO BE IN BY WEDNESDAY LUNCHTIME PLEASE

School Review - Next week we are hosting Michael Collins who works for the Education Department as part of our School Review for 2012. Michael will meet with staff, students and Sam Robinson on Thursday to discuss and plan our future focuses and student learning goals for the next 3-4 years. The Review will look at many areas of operation within the school. It’s a chance to celebrate all the great things that are happening and to target areas for improvement. The planning of the strategic direction for the school will be guided by the following questions:• What outcomes did we aim to achieve?• What outcomes did we achieve?• How effectively did we manage our resources to support the achievement of student outcomes?• What can we do in the future to continue to improve?

Building Project update - You may have noticed the sandpit playground equipment has been removed. This begins the many alterations that will start to take shape over the coming weeks in preparation for the new school building project. Friday and over the weekend the cypress trees will also be taken away. The temporary buildings will arrive in the next 4-5 weeks on the oval.

Enrolment Week for 2013 Prep Students - The first 2 weeks of term 3 is Enrolment for 2013 Prep students. We are holding an Open Morning on Thursday June 28th from 10.00am- 11.00am. If you know of any families interested in visiting our school, who want to enrol students or would like information please encourage them to contact school. Word of mouth is just as important as any marketing we do.

Toys & Things - Please do not send items such as toys, sports equipment, games, dolls etc. to school with children. We cannot be responsible for items if they are lost or broken.

Head Lice - Please be checking each day for signs of head lice. This time of year there are reports of many schools tackling head lice issues. Please treat head lice if detected and inform the school ASAP (see flyer attached). More information @ http://health.vic.gov.au/headlice/

Students with long hair must have their hair tied up at all times please.

August 8th Notes and payments need to be returned to school please.

Mr Perry.

HOW TO HELP OUR SCHOOL WHILE YOU SHOP:

LET US COUNT THE WAYS....

Warrnambool Target Centre

IPADS 4 SCHOOLS SCONE DRIVE

Bakers Delight Target Centre is giving our school an extra opportunity to try and win the 10 ipads for our school by conducting a Scone Drive. All we have to do is place an order for a 6 pack of scones and they will deliver them to the school freshly baked. The bonus here is we also get an entry in the ipad for Schools competition for every 6 pack sold. And as an added bonus Bakers Delight Target Centre will also donate $1 back to the school.

So lets get selling to family, friends, neighbours and get as many entries as possible in that barrel. Forms went home earlier this week, but if you need another one, please contact Jodie or Suzi at school. A L S O . . . .Bakers Delight Target Centre has also kindly decided to give a free entry into the ipads for Schools competition if you spend $10 or more in one transaction. So let’s show our support for both our school and the wonderful team at Bakers Delight and get plenty of entries happening!

WOOLWORTHS EARN AND LEARN

When you shop at Woolworths you will get stickers to place on an entry sheet, which can be dropped into the box at either of the Woolworths stores (look near the checkouts for the box with WOOLSTHORPE PRIMARY SCHOOL on it) or you can return your stickers/completed sheets to us at school.

C O L E S

The Sports for Schools vouchers are coming back! When you shop at Coles from June 13th on, you will recieve Sports for Schools Vouchers - let’s see if we can beat the amount we got last year! Get all your relatives, friends and neighbours to ‘shop for us’ too! We receive good quality sports equipment through this program, so please support it where you can.
