The most commonly used weave. Each weft wire passes alternatively over and under each warp wire and vice versa.Warp and weft wire diameters are usually the same.

Plain weave (Pw)

E‘ il tipo di tessitura più utilizzata.Ogni filo di trama passa alternativamente sopra e sotto ogni filo di ordito e viceversa. Il diametro dei fili di ordito e di trama generalmente sono gli stessi.

A wire cloth is obtained by weaving wires together and thus forming meshes.Such wires are known as warp and weft and are woven on a loom.The warp is formed by wires parallel to the lenght of the texture while those parallel to the width form the weft.

La costruzione di un tessuto metallico è ottenuta mediante l’intreccio di fili che formano tra loro delle maglie.Tali fili si identificano come ordito e trama e vengono tessuti da un telaio.Costituiscono i fili di ordito quelli paralleli alla lunghezza del tessuto e di trama quelli paralleli alla larghezza.

Tessuto unito (Tu)

Stronger than Plain weave. Each weft wire alternatively crosses over two, then under two warp wires.Twill weave is usually used to accomodate a heavier wire diameter than standard in association with a given mesh and it’s more deformable to mechanicalpressure.

Twill weave (Tw)

Piu resistente del tessuto unito. Ogni filo di trama attraversa due fili di ordito alternativamente.Solitamente il tessuto crociato è utilizzato per tessere un diametro di filo piu pesante a parità di maglia ed è più deformabile ad una pressione meccanica.

A plain weave with warp wires of larger diameter than weft wires.The weave is made up of a limited number of warp wires interwoven with the maximum number of weft wires, producing a very strong and firm cloth.

Plain dutch weave (DW)

E‘ un tipo di tessitura con fili di ordito di diametro maggiore dei fili di trama.Il tessuto è composto da un numero limitato di fili di ordito intrecciati con il massimo numero di fili di trama, ottenendo così un tessuto stabile e forte.

Tessuto tipo reps (TRP)

Similar to Plain dutch weave, except that the weave pattern is twill, with a double layer of weft wires.There are no apertures in the true sense of the word, and the filtrate follows a sinuous path through the depth of the wire cloth.

Dutch twill weave (DTW)

Simile alla tessitura tipo reps, eccetto che il tessuto è crociato e ha un doppio strato di fili di trama.Non ci sono aperture nel vero senso della parola e il passaggio di filtrazione segue un percorso sinuosoattraverso la profondità della tela.

This is the reverse of the Plain dutch weave, i.e., it has more and finer warp wires and fewer and heavier weft wires, giving high stability and good performance in high pressure filtration.

Reverse dutch weave (RDW)

Questa tela è esattamente il rovescio del tessuto tipo reps, vale a dire che ha la maggior quantità di fili sottili in ordito e meno fili ma piu grossi in trama.Questa struttura consente quindi di ottenere una alta stabilità ed ottima resistenza ad alte pressioni.

As reverse Dutch Weave but Twilled Weave, i.e. each weft wire goes through two warp wires alternatively. The Reverse Dutch Twill Weave allows to use wires with larger diameters and gives better stability and strenght to the weft.

Come il tessuto tipo panzertresse ma crociato, ovvero ogni filo di trama attraversa due fili di ordito alternativamente, il tessuto panzerteresse crociato consente l’utilizzo di fili con diametro superiore e dà maggior stabilità e consistenza alla trama.

Si parla di tessuto speciale quando il diametro dei fili in trama ed in ordito e la dimensione della maglia in orizzontale e verticale sono differenti.I fili vengono tessuti più fitti in modo da ottenere un prodotto finale piu compatto e con maggior densità rispetto alle tele classiche.

I tessuti speciali sono normalmente misurati in N. Francese o mesh e diametro di fili, ma spesso si fa riferimento alla sola filtrazione (nominale ed assoluta) che si misura in micron.

Dutch or Hollander weave is a description applied to woven wire cloth where the diameter of warp and weft wires, and the mesh count in warp and weft direction, are different.The wires are driven up much closer during the weaving process, thus producing a more densely compacted media.

Mesh count per inch and aperture size in microns are the most commonly used methods of describing the various Dutch Weave specifications.

The diameter of the largest sphericalparticle that will pass through the filtercloth under laboratory conditions represents the maximum pore size.

Indication of the average pore size of the filter cloth.

In all types of Dutch Weave, the sum derived from multiplying the number of weft in a given measurement by their diameter, results in theory, in a specification with no open area.Because the wires are driven together during theweaving process, the aperture size cannot be calculated in the usual way.

A suspension containing glass beads is passed through the wire mesh - the diameter of the largest bead passing through is considered as the absolute micron retention.

The pressure required to pass air bubbles through the mesh is measured. The average aperture size is then calculated by considering surface tension, liquid density, temperature and immersion depth.

Subject to user definition, an indication of the average pore size of the filter cloth.

The micron retention may be determinated by two methods:

Reti tessuteWoven wire cloth

Le reti tessute vengono realizzate mediante tessitura in trama ed ordito di fili metallici. Si utilizzano fili continui non preventivamente ondulati o sagomati. Molte sono le tipologie di tessitura che possono essere prodotte in base all’applicazione. Possono avere tessuto unito, crociato, spigato ecc. Possono essere tessute a maglia quadra, rettangolare o in base a specifici disegni, dove l’alternanza di fili e il loro spessore in trama e in ordito crea innumerevoli possibilità. Possono essere prodotte in diverse altezze fino ad un massimo di tre metri, in rotoli o in fogli con misure a richiesta.

Woven wire clothes are produced by weaving in both warp and weft direction metallic wires with continuous warp wires without prior crimping or shaping. This product family includes a wide range of weaving patterns according to the application they are dedicated to, such as: plain weave, twill weave, herring bone weave and so on. They can be weaved with square mesh, rectangular mesh or according tospecific indication where the alternation of wires, their different thickness in warp and weft direction allows countless possibilities. They can be produced also in different widths up to a maximum of 3 meters, in rolls, sheets or in strips starting from 15 mm.

Le reti ondulate sono ottenute intrecciando fili trafilatiche vengono preventivamente ondulati da ingranaggi che consentono precise curvature del filo.Si dice rete ondulata a tessuto unito quando ad ogniondulazione passa un filo sia in trama che in ordito, sono dette ondulate a più ondulazioni se i fili si intrecciano saltando uno, due o più spazi.Possono essere prodotte con maglie quadre o rettangolari a seconda della distanza tra i fili nelledue direzioni ed è possibile utilizzare fili con due differenti ondulazioni tra trama ed ordito.

They are produced by weaving drawn wires which are previously crimped through cogwheels giving precise bending on the wire. If each crimpcorresponds to a wire interlace the mesh is known as plain weave crimping. If the wires are interlaced every three, five, seven or more crimps, the mesh is known as intermediate crimp mesh. They can bemanufactured with square or rectangular meshes depending on the distance between the wires and it is also possible to use wires with different crimps in warp and weft direction.

Reti elettrosaldate in acciaio zincato a bagnoWelded mesh in galvanized steel

Le reti elettrosaldate sono formate da fili dritti ortogonali in trama e in ordito, sovrapposte e saldate tramite elettropuntatura. Le maglie sono solitamente quadre e rispetto alle reti tessute cambia il rapporto tra diametro dei fili e maglia: ovvero a parità di maglia il diametro del filo è solitamente minore, pur avendo una buona resistenza data dalla saldatura. Vengono fornite in rotoli altezza 1000mm da 25 a 50 mt, o su richiesta in fogli a misura.

Welded meshes are made from overlaid wires in warp and weft direction, joined by electro spot welding at every intersection. Normally produced in square meshes with large open areas, thin wires, and precise openings they can be supplied in rolls width 1000 mm from 25 to 50 mt and panels (on demand).
