Reading: Mark 1:16-20
A Reading from the Gospel according to Mark,
As Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake—for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, ‘Follow me and I will make you fish for people.’ And immediately they left their nets and followed him. As he went a little farther, he saw James and his brother John, who were in their boat mending the nets. Immediately he called them; and they left their father in the boat with the hired men, and followed him.

Psalm 139O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You go before me and you follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.
Psalm 139And when I sleep and when I wake up,

test me and know my anxious thoughts.Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
BlessingThe grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all evermore.Amen.Amen.
