AW 2013 SEES WORN BY CONTINUE IN THE PURSUIT OF JERSEY PERFECTION, DEVELOPING EXCITING NEW PRODUCT CATEGORIES IN OUR BIGGEST & MOST AMBITIOUS COLLECTION TO DATE. HERE'S WHAT ASSISTANT DESIGNER JOE BOTCHERBY HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE LATEST COLLECTION...
HOW DO YOU START DESIGNING THE COLLECTION?
Myself & Head Designer Lisa Williams start by collecting loads of imagery of Rock N Roll icons from books, magazines & picture libraries like Getty Images along with colour, print, wash techniques & seasonal trend research. Doing this helps us pinpoint & understand elements of each icon's style; what they are wearing & how they

wear it so that we can reinterpret this in a fresh way. All this imagery is pinned to the wall in our office where it lives as a HUGE mood-board for inspiration & helps us choose key themes for the season to develop into the final collection. Listening to sickening amounts of metal & old school RNB, drinking loads of tea & eating my weight in chocolate cake also helps!
WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND AW13?
This season we have channelled infamous Rock N Roll couples like Sid & Nancy, which consists of a hell of a lot of leopard print, leather & studs. We also looked at 70s Venice Beach skater dudes for the men’s collection & got super nostalgic over our 90s revival themed womenswear range which features loads of pastel colours, ying-yangs & camos!
WHAT SHOULD WE BE GETTING EXCITED ABOUT FOR AW13?
For menswear we’ve got some really cool statement sweat pants featuring our all-over prints to look forward to. I managed to grab a sample pair & I haven’t taken them off since, they’re so comfy! We have also developed our ever popular sweat range further.For the ladies we’ve been working on some amazing new skirts, shorts, trouser shapes and leggings, which is something we’ve never done before! We’re hoping our customers will be as excited by these as we are!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PIECES FROM THE AW13 COLLECTION?
Apart from my new sweatpants, you’dprobably catch me wearing the Pentagram sweatshirt, which is perfect for layering up with a baggy flannel shirt & oversized leather jacket.I’m also a massive fan of the women’s Nancy lipstick sweater which I’m convinced is going to be a best seller!

Channeling the wardrobes of a selection of our all time favorite musicians & style heroes, the mens Rock Icons range consists of some opulent tapestry style vintage prints in Hendrix's trademark purple, ideal for the current floral & baroque trends, Axl's in your face Shit Happens tee, a Ziggy Stardust era Bowie catsuit print & our take on Jon Bonham's peacock tee.We are also reinventing some of our most popular classic styles with new fabrications & colourways such as our monochrome Joplin stripe & geometric triangle print, as well as treating Who The Fuck Is Mick Jagger to a make-over with stripes & a raised print.The icons collections also sees more exciting Joy Division & New Order prints, alongside hip-hop legend Snoop!

AW13 sees us continue our popular collaboration with LIFE magazine. This season we have a super nostalgic 90s era Fresh Prince graphic & for film geeks, a guess the action hero photo print tee.Also back to the bygone era of rockstars, we have this classic image of iconic The Who frontman, Roger Daltrey taken by photographer Johnny Dewe Matthews. Johnny captured many iconic images of artists, fashion designers & rock stars in the 1970s including our legendary Moon & Reed tee photo.
