Key features

Brings together broadband supply and demand using Google Maps as the geospatial foundation

The map was developed on an open source platform using Javascript and PHP. The code is available for reuse under a BSD licence.

Supply data is voluntarily provided by 22 different network providers, with some restrictions on data use

Demand data covers Health (hospitals, pharmacies, doctors), Education (schools, colleges, early childhood centres), national and local government agencies.

Able to record business and individual demand

Example showing one fibre company and30 education establishments

Future potential

Increase demand data from business and consumers

Use as foundation for presenting other data of public interest, especially in the areas of health and education
