WORLD OF LIGHT RETREAT HOUSE House Rules and Policies

1. Respect although World of Lights volunteers and facilities are here to serve you and to meet your needs, we expect your courtesy and respect. Treat the volunteers the way Christ would treat them. Treat the buildings and grounds in a similar manner. We desire to cultivate and maintain a Christian environment that enables our guests and our volunteers to glorify the Lord.

2. Decent and modest clothingis required. Bikinis, short shorts, slit shorts, Speedo swimsuits (men) and see-through tops are not permitted. Pajamas or lounge sleepwear are not to be worn in public areas. Footwear is to be worn at all times.

3. Electronic Devices. To maintain the serenity of the place, obtain full connection with Christ and a way to obtain a renewed spirit, cell phones, laptop, television, and any other devices shall not be allowed in the retreat house.

4. No alcoholic beverages/tobacco products/drugsare allowed anywhere or anytime on the premises. World of Light is a non-smoking environment.

5. No guns/knives/weaponsof any kind are permitted anywhere or anytime on the premises. If brought to the facility, leaders will be required to lock them in their trunks or secure them in the directors office.

6. No fireworksof any kind are permitted.

7. Pets and other animalsare not allowed.

8. Quiet Timebegins at 10:00 PM (Central) to show consideration to other guest and retreat neighbors. Additionally, all court and pavilion lights must be turned off at this time.

9. World of Light Retreat Premises is limited to the grounds within the gravel paths and the pond area. Surrounding land and cabins are private property and not affiliated with World of Light. Please do not trespass on private areas.

10. Sickness or injury must be reported to the World of Light Clinic immediately.

11. Permission to use the telephone must be obtained from the facilitator.

12. All guests are expected to participate in all programs and activities.

13. The use of electronic media (i.e. DVDs and video) for the purposes of entertainment is prohibited but strictly for educational and activity purposes.

14. Guests will be responsible for all damages to the facilities taking place during their stay.

*Exceptions to the above House Rules may be granted for special circumstances with prior approval from the Executive Director.
