The Association of Dialized and Transplanted Cantonese Patients Central Bosnia marked the world kidney day in Vitez street race for elementary school students and citizens. "Vitez runs for World kidney day"

Vareš B&H 15.03.2019

The Association of Dialysis and Transplanted Patients of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the Donor Network in B & H, a Vareš Diabetic Association and the local community organized a panel discussion for citizens of Vareš municipality on "Kidney Health Everywhere Everywhere" .They spoke about the prevention of renal disease and treatment.

Mostar B & H 20.03.2019

The Association of Dialysis and Transplanted Patients of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina together with the Donor Network in BiH, the Mostar University Clinical Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine organized a symposium on "Transplantation in BiH - a Way to Eurotransplant"

The symposium was designed for healthy employees, students of medicine and ordinary citizens.

Sarajevo B & H 24.03.2019

The Association of Dialysis and Transplanted Patients of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina together with the Donor Network in BiH and the Association of Dialysis and Transplanted Patients of Sarajevo Canton organized the World kidney day in front of the Sarajevo Cathedral in the busiest street. At our booth, we shared educational material with regard to the prevention of renal disease, talked with passers-by who were interested in this topic.

President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Marinko Čavara promoted the symposium in the city of Mostar together with the Croatian extravagant stars.

Petra Grašo and Tonči Huljić A lot of doctors from hospitals and clinic centers were involved in the organization of our

activities.

World Health Day was donated by the Bosnian Ministry of Health to the canton and the mayors of Travnik, Vitez, Novi Travnik, Sarajevo, Mostar, Vareš as well as many companies and some other legal entities. Media attention was enormous.

Description of advocacy activities:

Our activities were different in marking the world kidney day for 2019. In the street race we wanted to send a message that very important physical activity, healthy eating habits and a healthy lifestyle in general. Children from elementary schools shared educational material, 8 gold rules, we shared water and fruit, and the best medals and prizes were awarded. This event has brought together local and other media that have overlooked the importance of preventing kidney disease. Tribes and Symposiums also pointed to the lack of transplants in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Symposium organized in Mostar was assisted by the director of the Federation of BiH Health Insurance and Reinsurance Institute We have used the unprecedented attention of the media to point out the need for systematic disease prevention as well as poor dialysis quality of a small number of transplants in B & H.
