Grammar

1

World Grammar is an objectionary, that is to say, a global dictionary of objects.

The cultural differencees between countries and cities in the world are often shown through their languages, gastronomies, musics or ways of dressing. Thus the large imaginary of everyday-life objects that accompanies our lives seems to be consigned to a background, almost anecdotal, level.

World Grammar salvages these peculiar, ingenious, useful objects and gives them notoriety. By isolating these objects from their context and ordering them under unifying criteria, the cultural differences amongst the societies to which they belong start to emerge.

This project has been conceived as an open collaboration with multiple agents from different corners of the planet who discover, during their travelling, the cultural specificities of other locations.

Hereby we present the first volume of World Grammar. It intends to be the first in a saga that

could virtually be endless.

World Grammar es un objetionario, es decir un diccionario global de objetos.

Con frecuencia las diferencias culturales entre distintos países y ciudades del mundo se muestran a través de sus lenguas, gastronomías, músicas o vestimentas. De esta manera el gran imaginario de objetos cotidianos que acompaña nuestro día a día se ve relegado a un segundo plano, casi anecdótico.

World Grammar rescata estos objetos curiosos, ingeniosos, prácticos y los saca del olvido en el que han caido dándoles notoriedad. Al aislar los objetos de su contexto y ordernarlos bajo un mismo criterio comienzan a emerger las diferencias culturales existentes entre las sociedades a las que pertenecen.

Este proyecto ha sido concebido como una colaboración abierta entre múltiples agentes de distintas partes del planeta quienes durante sus desplazamientos descubren las especificidades culturales de otros lugares.

Aquí les presentamos el primer volúmen de World Grammar, que pretende ser el primero de una saga que puede ser prácticamente inacabable.

operated pneumatically. These are the recollection points or

stations. The inlet opening limits the size of the bag in order

to avoid clogging the conducts, the grill ventilates the duct

avoiding the formation of toxic gases.
