VENETIAN WORLD ODYSSEY 2016It is an experience that transcends all others, a journey that combines the world’s most intriguing destinations with the pleasures of sailing aboard one of Silversea’s highly celebrated, smaller ships — exquisite cuisine, lasting friendships, a butler to pamper you with personalised attention … and, of course, all the other indulgences a voyage this momentous deserves.

In 115 days you’ll visit 51 ports on 6 continents, enjoying 12 overnight stays to give you ample time to explore further afield. But perhaps what you’ll appreciate most of all is the degree to which you can personalise your journey with concierge services and private arrangements that allow you to probe deeper into the regions that interest you most.

For a grand finale, we also include two nights in Venice, Italy, the inspiration for our Venetian Society loyalty programme and a proud reflection of our Italian heritage. Benvenuto.

Exotic destinations like Easter Island with its enigmatic moai, or the hauntingly beautiful city of Petra. But it’s what you experience once you arrive that is the true barometre of a great journey. The insider access, small-group excursions and private arrangements. The lectures and cultural events that provide a more profound understanding of a land and its people. world cruISe gala and hotel — Jan 4The beautiful Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami is the location for our pre-cruise overnight stay and gala bon voyage dinner. Flavours of Asia are to be seen throughout the décor and ambience of the hotel and every room offers breathtaking views of the ocean and Miami skyline.

ISland In the harBour — FeB 14Sydney Harbour has arguably two of the world’s most iconic structures — the glistening sails of the opera house roof and the famed arch of the mighty bridge. Today we have exclusive use of a private island with spectacular views of both the Opera House and Harbour Bridge coupled with the Sydney skyline. A white glove lunch will be served with a local menu of casual Australian fare and accompanied by wines of the Hunter Valley. Replete with Aussie spirit, return to Silver Whisper.

lunch at the taJ mahal — aPrIl 4Arguably the most romantic of temples built to express love and loss is the beautiful Taj Mahal. Let us jet you off in chartered comfort for just the day. Tour this amazing edifice of white marble and then join us for lunch. Refreshed, we jet back to the waiting Silver Whisper for a special welcome home.

maSKed Ball In VenIce — aPrIl 29We embark our elegant water taxis in the early evening for a journey down the famed Grand Canal. Our destination — a Palazzo complete with all the trappings of history and regalia this city has to offer. All we ask is that masks and elegant dress are mandatory — leave the rest to us, as we create an unforgettable evening as you approach the twilight of your world cruise.

PaSSage to ancIent cIVIlISatIonS — Panama canal & Peru

Like a gateway to the past, ancient traditions come to life on our journey along

the Inca Coast. Traditional markets display artisan crafts in the volcanic

highlands of Ecuador. Mud bricked temples of pre-Columbian cultures lie buried among

the dramatic landscapes of the Altiplano. Stand in awe as parting clouds between

Andean peaks reveal the lost Incan city of Machu Picchu. Savour a hearty Malbec

with a spicy lomo saltado of steaks and chimichurri. Colours, flavours, rhythms …

everything along the Inca Coast seems fiery and filled with passion.

COMPLIMENTARY SILVERSEA EXPERIENCE® — EASTER ISLAND

Created by the Rapa Nui people, the mysterious moai statues stand in silence but speak volumes about the achievements of their creators. The stone blocks, some standing almost 13 ft/3.9 m tall and numbering over 800, litter this mysterious island. Join us as expert guides explain the origin of these unique works of art and attempt to unravel the still-questioned reason for their creation.

THE ECHOES OF EASTER ISLAND

Inhabited for centuries by the Rapa Nui people, Easter Island is famous for what they left behind — massive monoliths called moai. As you explore this enigmatic destination, which happens to be the most remote inhabited island in the world, admire the iconic, towering testaments to their culture.

PITCAIRN ISLAND — IN THE WAKE OF THE BOUNTY

The siren call of tiny Pitcairn Island once lured the sailors of the HMS Bounty, causing the infamous mutiny. The crew was enticed by the promise a leisurely life among the islanders here, and quite a few found it — many of the 50 current residents here are direct descendants of the mutineers.

A JOURNEY TO PARADISE — FRENCH POLYNESIA

The “Magical Island”, the “Pearl of the Pacific”, the “Island of Love”… the beauty of French Polynesia’s islands is apparent from their sundry sobriquets. JAMES MICHENER’S BALI HA’I

Author James Michener described the South Pacific as “lovely beyond description”, and was particularly taken with Bora Bora (which he called Bali Ha’i). As you explore the lush forests, underwater wonders and cloud-piercing volcanoes, it’s easy to see why this stunning setting left Michener speechless.

COOK ISLANDS: THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC

In a region renowned for its island paradises, the Cook Islands are an under-the-radar jewel. The pristine, picturesque setting — including white-sand beaches, lush jungle, limestone caves and turquoise lagoons — is perfectly complemented by fascinating Polynesian traditions.

NEW ZEALAND’S NORTH ISLAND: MAORI MYTHS AND GEOTHERMAL WONDERS

The diversity of New Zealand’s North Island is dazzling, from the site of Captain Cook’s first landing to the island’s otherworldly geothermal heartland. Admire the picturesque Bay of Islands and experience the volcanic moonscape of Rotorua. Listen to Maori myths and feel the haunting beat of their distinctive haka dance.

THE LEGENDARY LAND OF “OZ“

The varied thrills of Australia’s eastern coast await. Whether you’re looking up at the Sydney Opera House, eye-to-eye with a kangaroo, snorkelling along the Great Barrier Reef or roaming the rugged expanse of the Outback, you’ll never be bored on this journey Down Under.

BEWITCHING BALI

Bali is known as the “Island of a Thousand Temples” — a Hindu enclave teeming with fascinating sanctuaries and millennia-old rituals. Of course, travellers will also enjoy the tropical trappings of this legendary island — misty volcanoes and terraced rice paddies — as well as a world-famous artist village and dramatic dance ceremonies.

THE MYSTERIOUS JUNGLES OF BORNEO

Astonishing wildlife roams the rainforests of Borneo — everything from orangutans and clouded leopards to pygmy hippos — and indigenous cultures carry on as they have for thousands of years. While exploring the misty jungles of this mountainous island, revel in the “lost world” feeling of the largest island in Asia.

HONG KONG: THE PEARL OF THE ORIENT

Hong Kong is a vibrant metropolis and a cacophony of contradictions. Upscale boutiques are juxtaposed with rickety food stalls, and towering office buildings share streets with humble Buddhist temples. Though the streets thrum with modern bustle, they are laced with old-world charm.

Golden beaches, bejewelled pagodas and Mughal marvels

light our way as we sail through the Strait of Malacca to Penang and Phuket,

glamorous resorts of Asia’s growing moneyed class, and Kuala Lumpur with its

dazzling skyline. Enjoy three days in re-emerging Myanmar, warmly welcoming

but still lost in time. Revel in the magnificent landscapes of lush Sri Lanka

and India’s Spice Coast; then shop in the opulent souks of

Dubai, showplace of the Middle East.

EXPLORING THE EXOTIC SPICE ROUTE

Hear the echoes of ancient kingdoms and the din of modern-day markets along the legendary Spice Route. Feel the misty breeze on an elephant-back journey through the jungles of Phuket. Breathe in the spice-tinged air as you stroll through Kuala Lumpur, and marvel at the largest Buddhist temple in southeast Asia.

MYANMAR’S MANY SPLENDOURS

As you explore Myanmar, it can feel like you have gone back in time. Locals still revere the centuries-old golden stupa of the Shwedagon Pagoda bedecked in diamonds and rubies. You can also gaze upon the temple-dotted plains of Bagan, which William Somerset Maugham, author and playwright, likened to a “fantastic dream”.

PASSAGE TO INDIA

The Indian subcontinent is a prismatic paradox: frenzied and friendly, ancient yet modern. Experience the cultural melting pot of Cochin as well as the captivating history and buzzing streets of Mumbai. Explore Sri Lanka’s rainforest-covered peaks, and visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, one of the largest in the world. Stand in awe of the Taj Mahal, that legendary poem in stone.

EXCLUSIVE WORLD CRUISE EVENT MASKED BALL IN VENICE

Venice’s Carnavale has existed since the Middle Ages, but it came into its own in the 18th century with the decline of the Republic. The festival became an outlet for all that had been prohibited by the sober arm of the doge. In the true spirit of Carnavale, we invite you to don your masks and cruise down the Grand Canal for a grand farewell in a historic Palazzo, replete with all the fanfare of the world’s greatest masquerade.

COMPLIMENTARY SILVERSEA EXPERIENCE — MUSIC IN MUSCAT

The ruler of Oman, Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said, has always been a supporter of classical music and the arts. In 2001, the sultan ordered the building of an opera house — ‘Royal Opera House Muscat’. Built in a contemporary Omani style, this monumental yet beautiful building is a state-of-the art facility and our venue for an exclusive musical evening accompanied by local mezes and fruit cordials.

Information contained in this brochure does not form part of any offer or contract. The transportation

of guests and baggage on Silversea vessels is provided solely by Silversea and is governed by the

terms and conditions printed on the Passage Contract. The Passage Contract will be included

with your travel documents, is available upon request, or can be accessed through our website

at Silversea.com, and contains complete and important information regarding cancellations,

itineraries, Silversea’s liability, health and immigration requirements, and other relevant terms and

conditions. By making a deposit or payment for a reservation you agree to be bound by the terms

and conditions of the Passage Contract.

Fares quoted are in U.S. dollars, per guest, based on double occupancy. Venetian Society member

fares for the full Venetian World Odyssey 2016 or for the featured segments may vary from fares

shown, contingent upon the member’s total number of days traveled with Silversea. Detailed fare

information will be confirmed at time of reservation. Single supplements start from 50% above the

double occupancy fare and may vary by category. Fares reflect the best available prices for our

voyages; are capacity controlled; and are likely to increase as the sailing date approaches, may

vary by category, may not be available in all categories and are not combinable with certain other

promotional offers and do not apply to Silver Sky Air Programme, Hotel, or Silver Shore Land

Adventures. Silversea makes every effort to adhere to the specifics shown in this or any publication.

However, circumstances may necessitate variations. All information, fares, savings, offers, itineraries,

ports of call, and programmes are subject to change without notice. For additional details please

contact your travel professional. Voyage Highlights, Excursions and Enrichment Programme

Speakers shown are subject to change and/or cancellation without prior notice. Silversea is not liable

for any representation, act or omission by the guest’s Travel Agent, as they are considered to be the

agent of the guest(s) and not of Silversea.

TAXES, GOVERNMENT FEES/QUASI-GOVERNMENT FEES AND FUEL SUPPLEMENTS Silversea

reserves the right to pass through to its guests (including fully paid and deposited guests) any taxes

and government fees/quasi-government fees that relate specifically to a guest’s itinerary. “Taxes

and Government fees/quasi-government fees” include any and all fees, charges, surcharges, tolls

and taxes imposed by governmental or quasi-governmental authorities including, but not limited

to, customs fees, per person berth taxes or fees, embarkation and/or disembarkation fees at ports,

airline transportation fees, dockage fees, and wharfage fees.

Silversea reserves the right to charge a per person fuel supplement in the event that the price of

Brent* crude oil is greater than $80.00 per barrel at any time prior to sailing, up to and including the

day of embarkation.

*Brent crude oil prices published on www.Bloomberg.com

Silversea may collect any taxes, government fees/quasi-government fees and fuel supplement (the

“Surcharges”) at the time of booking, prior to sailing or on board the vessel, even if the cruise fare

has been paid in full. Surcharges will be invoiced accordingly.

SHIPBOARD ACCOUNT: Upon embarkation, guests will be asked to register their VISA, Master

Card, or American Express credit card number and expiration date, which must be valid through the

final day of their voyage. All charges for services provided and products purchased onboard must

be settled in cash or above listed credit card at the end of each voyage segment and before final

disembarkation from the ship.

SILVER SKY® AIR PROGRAMME: *Offered from select U.S. and Canadian gateways, including

roundtrip air plus private transfer between the airport/luxury hotel, small group transfer hotel/

pier and small group boat transfer pier/airport. For a limited time, guests purchasing the 115-Day

Full World Cruise and adding the optional Silver Sky Air Programme to their booking will receive

Business Class Air (“Promotional Air Package”). Business Class Air is defined as US Domestic

Business Class (First Class if Business not offered) and International/transoceanic Business Class.

Due to limited air availability, Business Class Air may not be available at time of booking in which

case Economy Class will be substituted. All Air Packages are: (1) applicable to first and second full

fare cruise guests booking/purchasing the applicable Air Package for roundtrip travel via Silversea’s

Preferred Airline Partners, (2) capacity controlled and subject to availability, (3) limited to specific

U.S. and Canadian gateways and airlines. Silversea may choose to withdraw or modify Air Package

offers at any time without advance notice. Silversea reserves the right to select the air carrier, routing

and departure airport from each gateway city. Silversea reserves the right to request full payment

of the Airfare at any time. Once airline tickets are issued, or within 90-days of scheduled departure,

penalties apply for cancellation. Changes made to travel dates or flight itinerary will be subject to

fees (refer to Deviation and Administrative Fees at Silversea.com). Airline baggage fees are not

included. All other Terms and Conditions of the Silver Sky Air Programme apply. Refer to Silversea.
