Well for me anyways...last year we were taxed pretty good on that monster truck side looking for a hand now and then...We need racers to step up a little we can get most of it done with a small staff but all the ribbons and bows need help to get all of that done….I really hope we can get 2 more executive board members for racing and some volunteer help for that weekend. Years ago we had 12 board members for each side. We then voted to reduce the board to get a faster consensus when voting on association issues. The downside to that was this gap in help at the worlds. So...if you can help us help you still can have a great time….set up...most importantly tear down...and the day to day activities that need to be taken care of….we can do this we all love our hobby and it should not take much out of the weekend. Thank you in advance. In pulling...if you can make the Bowling Green pull in OH you should really try and get that off your bucket list. This is an outstanding weekend hosted by the STPA. The Blue Shirts give us a spot right behind the main grandstand and ($40) day passes to get in for those 2 days. They treat us like part of the show and when pulling we get about 300 –400 spectators. Often times the full sized pullers come over and see their replicas at the event and sometimes even run them. Last year the event was sponsored by Cow Tales which got handed out to the spectators.. those are good. The pulling takes place when the big boys are on break. The camp ground is a hoot... they don’t sleep back there for 4 days and after a day or two it gets extra crispy (like the Colonel's chicken) the picnic table trailers and the riding picnic tables and all of the engineering that goes into the campground rides is awesome. The modified garden tractors for tow and ride vehicles are always nice to look at and the people are all there for one reason tractor pulling….That makes is way easier to do the R/ C event we do at the pull.. they all get it. The County Line pullers had a demo event at the Feld Monster truck show in Erie PA so we are still involved in Full sized events with them ...these are really nice to participate in too. All of this promotes the hobby and opens new eyes to what we do….We need new people to keep coming into our association to keep the club running straight down the track. Every little bit helps. Included in this issue are the results of the Kentucky Pullers. They have done an outstanding job of doing events at fairs and in private venues. The turnout they got is outstanding! Over a hundred pullers is not uncommon. Anyways the results so far are posted if you get a chance to get to Kentucky I am sure these guys will take care of you and show you a great time. Also included is the WORLDS entry form...this should give you a head start on getting there. We need to have most everybody entered a month ahead of time to make sure we have trophies for all the classes we need. So that is why we offer a discount rate with early entry. We help you to help us. Also Pro Line has come out with a monster truck tire that is clod sized...finally another tire we can use for pulling I have seen it. It is a soft compound..maybe they will also have a harder compound for what we do or just make it work like we always do. Well….see ya when I see ya Joe
