1.2 PREPARATION OF CONSTRUCTION AREA:

- Clearance of construction area and safety corridor of transmission line- Preparation of construction area and locations of columns on connection lines

- Plane clearance is carried out manually, in compliance with Decree 106/2005/ND-CP, dated on 17/08 /2005 by the Government on reference to several termsin Electricity Law on safety protection of high voltage electricity grid projects.

- Before executing the project, Parts A and B must negotiate with governmentaloffices to assure fair compensation and to pay attention to environmental impacts inaccordance to current environment protection regulations.

1.3 COMPENSATION AND PLANE CLEANCE

- Clearance of construction plane and safety corridor is compensated inaccordance with Document 86 EVN/QLXD dated 06/01/2000 by Electricity Vietnam(EVN) on land acquisition and compensation in electricity construction projects.

- According to technical survey, there are no houses in the station andtransmission line construction area, and thus no relocation is required. Compensationwill be carried out after the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province issues formaldocuments. The construction are is industrial farming land and compensation pricewill be determined by the Project Management Committee, based on price issued bythe local People's Committee.

1.4 TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION CAMP DURING CONSTRUCTION

- Temporary construction camp during the execution of the project will be builton farming land in the substation area. The camp will be built with flexible structurefor easy disassemble: brick foundation, wooden (or steel) columns, wooden beam, tinroofs, timber walls, cement floor, assuring hygiene conditions. The camp area will becalculated based on the number of workers on site. The camp comprises of: housing,utility buildings and offices. Number of workers are estimated as follows:

1.5 STORAGE:

- Materials (except sand, rock and pebbles) are stored in storage units anddistributed to construction sites by cars.

- Construction time is estimated to be 6 months; therefore, storage will be builtusing straws and bamboos. Sites will be covered by bamboos, surrounded by drainage.

- Closed storage units are used to store cement and electrical materials andaccessories. Open storage units are used to store iron and steel foundation materials,beam, and grounding wire. Outdoor area contains steel column, timber, sand, rock, etc.
