University – Industry Relationship
University – industry relationship should start with small projects:
o The research group learns about the industry necessities
o The engineering group understands the potential contributions from the
university
o The difference between engineering services and technological research can
be understood.
Projects with industry provide several benefits:
o Motivate university to research on themes of interest of the society
o Stimulate to identify new research frontiers
o Undergraduate and graduate students involved with actual necessities
o Financial resources: RH payment; equipment; infrastructure
o Non-financial resources: Components; services
o Patents: Industrial property and royalties: It should not be the main focus!
![Page 18: Workshop - Systems, Product Development and Innovationcursos.ufabc.edu.br › posinovacao › images › eventos › 3rd... · 2016-01-13 · Workshop - Systems, Product Development](https://reader033.fdocuments.in/reader033/viewer/2022060500/5f1a383e67706f296c0c1628/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
University – Industry Relationship
Students with early engagement with industry:
o Internships in integral time
o Technology and innovation programs at university with industry participation
o Collaborative engineering programs
Professionals :
o Engineers: Solid and general formation in a engineering area.
o Master of Eng.: Specialization on a specific field: Differential on the Brazilian
industry
o Doctor of Eng.:
Industry R&D departments: rare opportunities!
ST&I centers; Universities: The main target!
