A broad range of Hydraulink branded products has just been released bringing together new products complementary to hoses and assemblies as well as current accessories in the one product family – the HYDRAULINK WORKSHOP SOLUTIONS.

Comprised of essential maintenance, repair and overhaul consumables for hydraulic systems, the new range will bolster Hydraulink’s image in pro-active maintenance activities, an added value extension of its core emergency hose replacement offering. This will drive new sales opportunities and increased market penetration for the network, and step up Hydraulink brand awareness.

HYDRAULINK WORKSHOP SOLUTIONS includes premium grade hydraulic oils, marine, agriculture and diesel oils, specialty degreaser and cleaning liquids, hose clamps, MRO kits, O-ring and washer kits, and pressure gauges.

“Maintenance and repair operations are critically important to our large and SME customers – downtime is a huge barrier to meeting production goals and profit margins. The different workshop consumables are unified by a family look to the packaging labels. “The themed look is eye-catching with strong Hydraulink branding. It’s a brand awareness tool that I find more effective than traditional promo giveaways. A drum of Hydraulink branded diesel oil in a farm shed or plant workshop represents more value for brand visibility and association than an easily disposed of cap or t-shirt,” he added.

One of Australia’s most versatile V8 Supercar, Porsche Carrera Cup and International Sportscar drivers – Hydraulink-backed David Russell – will spend the month of June in Europe, competing with the Reiter Engineering Lamborghini GT Team at two ADAC GT Masters races.

This invitation follows Russell’s involvement with the leading German Sportscar team which has spanned a number of years including tests with the team at the Hockeheimring (2011) and at Spa-Francorchamps last year. Russell has also worked with Reiter Engineering in a co-driver role alongside Australian GT driver Roger Lago and his Lago Racing team at a number of international Sportscar events including the Sepang 12 Hour, (2013) and at the Spa 24 Hour Blancpain Endurance Series round last season.

Russell will be racing with highly experienced Sportscar ace Tomas Enge at Austria’s Red Bull Ring from June 5-7 and Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps circuit from June 19-21. The Spa round provides Russell with important Lamborghini race mileage ahead of his return to Europe in July with Craig Lowndes, Steve Owen and Roger Lago.

“I have been working alongside the team at Reiter Engineering through my racing with Roger Lago for several years and it is fantastic to have been selected to compete in the two ADAC GT Masters rounds this year. To be able to participate in these races against a world class field and with a co-driver of Tomas Enge’s calibre will be exciting,” David Russell said.

With a Sportscar racing career spanning 10 years and with the pace Russell displayed at this year’s Bathurst 12 Hour, where he dominated practice and qualified second in the privately entered Lago Racing Lamborghini, the Brisbane based racing driver has attracted significant international Sportscar team interest. This was highlighted by his invitation to test with the Aston Martin Racing World Endurance Championship team in Spain during February and is punctuated by his selection, over several European drivers, to compete in these two European ADAC GT Masters races.

Russell’s entry in these two European ADAC Masters GT races does not conflict with his 2015 Porsche Carrera Cup Australia commitments. Russell will return to compete in the Townsville round (July 10-12) before heading back to Europe for the Spa 24 Hour, then returning for the final three Carrera Cup Australia rounds and the three V8 Supercar season of endurance races at Sandown, Bathurst and the Gold Coast.

Hydraulink has opened a purpose built hydraulic Hose Service Centre within its Queensland distribution complex at Rocklea. Designed as the company’s Queensland flagship, the new Centre showcases the model now on offer in each state.

The decision of the previous Brisbane South Distributors, Stephen and Sally Spinks, to retire was the catalyst for corporate Hydraulink to purchase that business and relocate it to the Rocklea complex.

Hydraulink has operated a Queensland distribution centre at Rocklea since 1998. This well-known landmark “Yellow Building” is the main warehouse for the Queensland network servicing over 30 Distributors and approximately 40 Hydraulink Sales and Service Technicians (HSSTs) along with many other clients.

The Hose Service Centre features a professionally designed modular fit out.

Internally the new centre is sleek and modern, with clean lines and minimal clutter. The new look will be replicated in all future Service Centres, while the “man in van” offer will feature the redesigned livery and internal workshop fit-out of the fully equipped mobile units.

“Hydraulink owes its success in Queensland to our professional distribution network and we are proud of the growth we have achieved with our partners over the years,” says Hydraulink Queensland General Manager Martin Smith. Martin continues, “Our plans to expand the network will bring in people with fresh ideas, energy and enthusiasm. It will help achieve the critical mass needed to effectively target more national clients and the resources sector.”

HYDRAULINK BAYSWATER OPENING SOON IN VICHydraulink is coming to Bayswater, Victoria, with former Putzmeister executive, Ian Moore, set to open a full service Hose Service Centre operating with two new generation, Iveco mobile service vans. The Centre’s product supply, customer support and technical assistance will be supported by the Hydraulink’s fully stocked Victorian distribution centre at Dandenong.

“Bayswater has been a target area for us for some time,” says Hydraulink State Manager, Neil Balsom. “The Bayswater territory captures a varied industry base ranging from small to large customer opportunities, across a wide market spectrum. The demographic suits our industry and fits Hydraulink’s overall company vision.”

Ian Moore’s life has been an interesting journey. Born and raised in country Victoria, Ian took up an apprenticeship as a diesel mechanic and once indentured, working overseas quickly became a way of life. He had postings in Fiji and New Guinea before being appointed Plant and Equipment Manager for CCL-Lewis in 1984. It was at this time he met his wife, Carolynne Hart, and decided to study for a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In 1995 Ian was employed by German company, Putzmeister; a move that resulted in overseas postings to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. In 1999 a position with Deutz Industrial Engines brought Ian, Carolynne and their two young sons, Ryan and Liam, back to the Yarra Valley for two years.

But Putzmeister wasn’t ready to permanently lose someone of Ian’s talent. He was lured back and proceeded to work in the USA for a

decade before returning to Australia, when the company created a new position for him as Regional, Technical and Commercial Manager South Pacific. This was when Ian first became aware of the Hydraulink brand. His New Zealand dealers were Hydraulink customers and Ian was impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the company.

When Putzmeister was sold to Chinese interests, Ian decided it was time to find a personal business opportunity. Hydraulink was looking for new partners and Ian’s technical, mechanical and commercial experience was a perfect fit for the Hydraulink offering. From his point of view, Ian had experienced Hydraulink’s professionalism first- hand and he knew it had the best product range in the industry. And his due diligence revealed that a Hydraulink Hose Service Centre would be a highly profitable business.

Ian is thrilled to be developing his own business within the framework of the Hydraulink business model, as this allows him to continue his lifelong commitment to provide exceptional customer service.

“Taking on a greenfield business is a very exciting prospect,” says Ian. “The North East Melbourne area has potential for genuine growth and Hydraulink’s business model promotes quality outcomes, value for money and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service, which are the values I have embraced throughout my entire customer service career.”

businesses are very strong. Both businesses and the customer group that they service will ultimately benefit from this new alliance.

Ben found the support he received from Hydraulink was excellent. “The experience has been a real eye opener for me,” he says. “Setting up the business, which included a fully equipped Trade Service centre and the mobile service vehicles has required a lot of work, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help I have received from the Hydraulink head office team.”

As well as technical training in hydraulic hose and fittings, Hydraulink helped Ben locate the Wentworth Street property and negotiate the lease terms. The Hydraulink Head office team also worked with Ben on internal architectural development and shop fit-out as well as the external livery of the Hose Service Centre.

All four partners are confident that it is this ongoing support, along with their collective decades of experience in the general hydraulics industry, which will ensure the growth of the Hydraulink Clyde Service Centre.

And finally we wanted the long-term security of the Clyde Sydney territory.

The overall package on offer from Hydraulink is very extensive and supports our business development. We have a very hands–on approach to our business and it’s important to know that the breadth and depth of skills and market knowledge of Hydraulink is readily available to us.”

Since opening, Ben has worked as the Manager and Director of the Hydraulink Service Centre and runs the day-to-day operations, while the other three partners continue to work out of the FTH workshop and offices in nearby Auburn. The products and service synergies between the two

businesses are very strong. Both businesses and the customer group that they service will ultimately benefit from this new alliance.

Ben found the support he received from Hydraulink was excellent. “The experience has been a real eye opener for me,” he says. “Setting up the business, which included a fully equipped Trade Service centre and the mobile service vehicles has required a lot of work, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help I have received from the Hydraulink head office team.”

As well as technical training in hydraulic hose and fittings, Hydraulink helped Ben locate the Wentworth Street property and negotiate the lease terms. The Hydraulink Head office team also worked with Ben on internal architectural development and shop fit-out as well as the external livery of the Hose Service Centre.

All four partners are confident that it is this ongoing support, along with their collective decades of experience in the general hydraulics industry, which will ensure the growth of the Hydraulink Clyde Service Centre.

A broad range of Hydraulink branded products has just been released bringing together new products complementary to hoses and assemblies as well as current accessories in the one product family – the HYDRAULINK WORKSHOP SOLUTIONS.

Comprised of essential maintenance, repair and overhaul consumables for hydraulic systems, the new range will bolster Hydraulink’s image in pro-active maintenance activities, an added value extension of its core emergency hose replacement offering. This will drive new sales opportunities and increased market penetration for the network, and step up Hydraulink brand awareness.

HYDRAULINK WORKSHOP SOLUTIONS includes premium grade hydraulic oils, marine, agriculture and diesel oils, specialty degreaser and cleaning liquids, hose clamps, MRO kits, O-ring and washer kits, and pressure gauges.

“Maintenance and repair operations are critically important to our large and SME customers – downtime is a huge barrier to meeting production goals and profit margins. Our customers will now have convenient and easy access to the necessary products through our mobile service technicians or by simply dropping into one of our Hose Service Centres,” said Hydraulink Chief Executive Officer Owen Knight.

The different workshop consumables are unified by a family look to the packaging labels. “The themed look is eye-catching with strong Hydraulink branding. It’s a brand awareness tool that I find more effective than traditional promo giveaways. A drum of Hydraulink branded diesel oil in a farm shed or plant workshop represents more value for brand visibility and association than an easily disposed of cap or t-shirt,” he added.

The HYDRAULINK WORKSHOP SOUTIONS range is a result of strategic partnerships formed over several months with leading names in industrial product manufacturing.

The Hydraulic MRO Kit is from LOCTITE, which is part of Henkel Germany. Loctite adhesives and sealants provide solutions across markets as diverse as electronics, automotive, aerospace, biomedical and many manufacturing industries. Hydraulink is the newly appointed Australian distributor for the Loctite Hydraulic MRO Kit.

One of Australia’s most versatile V8 Supercar, Porsche Carrera Cup and International Sportscar drivers – Hydraulink-backed David Russell – will spend the month of June in Europe, competing with the Reiter Engineering Lamborghini GT Team at two ADAC GT Masters races.

This invitation follows Russell’s involvement with the leading German Sportscar team which has spanned a number of years including tests with the team at the Hockeheimring (2011) and at Spa-Francorchamps last year. Russell has also worked with Reiter Engineering in a co-driver role alongside Australian GT driver Roger Lago and his Lago Racing team at a number of international Sportscar events including the Sepang 12 Hour, (2013) and at the Spa 24 Hour Blancpain Endurance Series round last season.

Russell will be racing with highly experienced Sportscar ace Tomas Enge at Austria’s Red Bull Ring from June 5-7 and Belgium’s Spa-Francorchamps circuit from June 19-21. The Spa round provides Russell with important Lamborghini race mileage ahead of his return to Europe in July with Craig Lowndes, Steve Owen and Roger Lago.

“I have been working alongside the team at Reiter Engineering through my racing with Roger Lago for several years and it is fantastic to have been selected to compete in the two ADAC GT Masters rounds this year. To be able to participate in these races against a world class field and with a co-driver of Tomas Enge’s calibre will be exciting,” David Russell said.

With a Sportscar racing career spanning 10 years and with the pace Russell displayed at this year’s Bathurst 12 Hour, where he dominated practice and qualified second in the privately entered Lago Racing Lamborghini, the Brisbane based racing driver has attracted significant international Sportscar team interest. This was highlighted by his invitation to test with the Aston Martin Racing World Endurance Championship team in Spain during February and is punctuated by his selection, over several European drivers, to compete in these two European ADAC GT Masters races.

Russell’s entry in these two European ADAC Masters GT races does not conflict with his 2015 Porsche Carrera Cup Australia commitments. Russell will return to compete in the Townsville round (July 10-12) before heading back to Europe for the Spa 24 Hour, then returning for the final three Carrera Cup Australia rounds and the three V8 Supercar season of endurance races at Sandown, Bathurst and the Gold Coast.
