Institucional Repository in Communication Science
© 2008 – [email protected] 14/14
Briefly
• It is time to grow up = nice opportunity to all scientific fields, specially to the Social Science disciplines and American Latin communities.
• Academic community responsability = develop tools and services that increase the visibility and acessibility of their production.
• Descentralized full text repositories + Centralized Metadata repositories = improvement of the field, the learning and the teaching.
• Future step:– multimedia materials. Connexion between all materials
(also for academic purposes)– meta-information: social network, quantitative and
qualitative reports, cross reference between services ...

Communication Science
- Community profile - individual authors - books is the first publication - problem with technology - fear of plagiarism and improper appropriations - barriers: misconceptions, technical unfamiliaruty, organizational pressures - looking for institucional support

PESQUISA FEITA COM REPRESENTANTES DA COMUNIDADE CIENTÍFICA - Simone Weitzel

PESQUISA FEITA COM REPRESENTANTES DA COMUNIDADE CIENTÍFICA - Simone Weitzel
