• Certificate II and III qualifications

• VCE recognition arrangements formalised through VCAA approval process

• Teachers, RTO’s and industry contribute to program development process

• Supported by central program maintenance – Program Booklets – Incorporation of national training package revisions – Industry involvement

• Access to study scores for 14 VCE VET programs

Block Credit Recognition in the VCE

• Nationally recognised VET at Certificate II or higher not available as an approved VCE VET and SBA program

• Credit determined by number of hours of training completed and AQF level of UoCs

• Student must be enrolled in the VCE

• No credit for Certificate I training

• Judgments on duplication

• Examples of popular areas include:– Personal Services– Transport and Distribution– Retail– General Education

School Based and Part time Apprenticeships

NAP• Credit arrangements exist for corresponding

certificates in VCE VET programs (360 hrs = Units 1 – 4)

• 11 industry areas that are formally promoted • Access to scored assessment as for VCE VET in

selected programsVFE• Any qualification that is able to be undertaken as

an Apprenticeship or Traineeship can be school based or part time.
