Being health-conscious at work can be difficult. With deadlines, meetings, and that never ending to-do list, you can be chained to your desk for hours with little time to eat properly, let alone exercise.
Here are some easy ways to start some healthy workplace habits to help you get (and stay) fit no matter how busy you are…
Ditch the donuts in the break room and no more vending machine quick-fixes! Have your own stash of healthy, energy boosting snacks on-hand. Try fresh fruit, raw nuts, organic trail mix, or Greek yogurt.
SMARTER SNACKING
When we are super busy, we tend to “grab something” and eat it at our desk. Usually what we “grab” is bad for the body. Start bringing your lunch from home. Chances are what you pack will be a much healthier alternative (and less expensive) than take-out.
ALTERNATIVE “FAST FOOD”
Even if you’re eating right, sitting all day can have a negative effect on your health. Use that “coffee break” or take half of your lunch hour to move your body. Retro Fitness has some great mid-day workout classes and training programs that can fit any schedule.
