In NZ, Mori and Pacific children and young adults (aged 4-19 years) have the highest rates of rheumatic fever. In 2014, Mori children were about 20 times more likely to be hospitalised for rheumatic fever and Pacific children about 60 times more likely than non-Mori/non-Pacific children.
