WHAT HAPPENS AFTER GRADUATION?
Allows students to legally live in Italy after their graduation while searching for a job/start a
business for maximum 1 year

After the Decree’s publication you can apply for the conversion of your study
permit into a WORK one - LAVORO SUBORDINATO (employee) or
LAVORO AUTONOMO (self-employed)
You must wait for a specific Interior Ministry Decree (Decreto Flussi), which determines the
number of work permits (quotas) reserved to study-work conversions. "Quotas” are allocated on
a first-come, first-served basis.
You CANNOT apply for a permit for job searching purposes (ATTESA
OCCUPAZIONE)
