    TED’S TOPICS

THE DISCIPLESHIP PLACE – OUR SUNDAY SCHOOLS The mission of Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries International (SDMI) is to

carry out the Great Commission to children, youth, and adults in preparation for a lifetime

    of Christian holiness.

    Our purpose is to:

    1) Teach the Word of God until people are sanctified wholly and maturing in Christian

discipleship. 2) Help Christians mature spiritually by involving them in soul-winning ministries,

reaching and teaching others to be disciples and make disciples of Jesus Christ. 3) Identify and visit un-churched people, inviting them to enroll in a small group and

    attend regularly.

Don’t give up on your Sunday School: revitalize it! Don’t ignore it: boost it! Renew the

focus of each class on evangelism, discipleship, outreach, service, and compassion. Help

your people move beyond Sunday to an everyday lifestyle of being discipled and disci-

    pling.

What if the goal of each class was to take Sunday’s lesson into a daily lifestyle of inten-

tionally helping someone else follow Jesus more closely? What would happen if every

class ended with the question, “To whom are you going to re-teach this lesson?” Making

disciples is our mission and it happens primarily through one conversation at a time. Let’s

    change lives for Christ!

A very Merry Meaningful Mission Christmas from your NMI Council

More than a Mission Encounter It was more than an Encounter for 211 teens and leaders who showed they could “Get Lit” for Jesus:

Provided food and clothing to 300+ homeless. Served lunch to 200 at Salvation Army Soup Kitchen. Roofed and walled 2 “Habitat for Humanity” homes. Cleaned 200+ kennels for homeless dogs & cats. Sorted 25+ pallets of food and building supplies Several more expressed a call to missions – and so much more….

Josh Moore did a great job leading Encounter with 15 service projects.

Over 200 gathered at Ft. Myers 1st Church - (Thanks Ft. Myers 1st & Pastor Brummett)

Trevecca Nazarene University President Dan Boone takes a break with 3 teens eating lunch at the Humane Society.

District Superintendent David Nixon works at an ice cream social for the Hidden Oaks Assisted Living Center

District NYI President Johnnie Denby calls his team to “Get Lit” and to make a difference at “Habitat for Humanity”.

    Domestic Work & Witness

    Trip a Total Success

LPCCC partnered with Pastor David Shore

and the Venice Church of the Nazarene con-

gregation to fund and construct a new play-

ground called KIDZ ZONE. This 75’ x 36’

playground area will be a blessing to chil-

dren for years to come. We would also like

to thank the other Southern Florida District

churches along with LPCCC’s buildings and

grounds team that helped with this project.

I believe that this will be a start of many

successful domestic work & witness pro-

jects. My challenge to the Southern Florida

District is to pray about the possibility of

your church partnering with LPCCC for

    future endeavors
