Brief description of the procedure

WORK VISA FOR BRAZIL

To obtain a work visa for Brazil, it is first

necessary to obtain a work permit. The work

permit is granted by the Ministry of Labour and

Employment, through the General Coordination

of Immigration.


The required documents for the process of work permit are

as follows:

- Work permit form;

- Pre-registration document (only for paper applications);

- Articles of association of the employer company;

- CNPJ or CPF card;

- Proxy, when needed;

- Proof of the immigration tax payment;

- Copy of the candidate`s passport identification page;

- Employment contract;

- Diplomas and certificates;

- Experience/professional qualifications.


Since Brazil is not a signatory of the Hague Convention

for the Apostille, the documentation from the country of

origin must be authenticated by a Brazilian consulate

(except for documents issued in France and Argentina).

After that, all documents not written in Portuguese

must be translated by an official translator in Brazil.


After the application, the work permit takes

about thirty days to be granted.

Alternatively, can take plane further requests.

The deadline for the fulfillment of these is thirty

days.


The decision granting the work permit is

published in the Union Official Journal and

communicated to the consulate of Brazil

appointed for the issuance of the work visa.
