New E_CM energy Adapt the linac to the new CLIC top energy (one or two linacs, length)

DB Formation

RF deflectors Beam loading and collective effects. Their impact on field quality.

SR & CSR studies Impact of the SR on the vacuum system (vacuum quality, thermal & mechanical issues, fatigue, implications on magnet design). Impact of CSR on beam quality. Combined minimization of SR & CSR impact on beam quality.

Phase synchronization of DB & MB

Specify and quantify the issue. Collaboration with the Timing and RF teams for the design of the phase correction system.

DB dumps Study of the optics line between the end of a decelerator and the dump.Specify the impact map of the beam on the dump. Collaborate to the design of the dump with the EN/STI team.

Turn-arounds Study options for magnets (normal conducting, super-ferric, permanent). Optimize for power consumption, taking into account high SR power deposition.
