After nearly 20 years, Social Change is one the main European Training Schools for Nonprofit Managers. Since 1997 the school trained 1000 professionals, with 100.000 hours of training a year. 96% employment rate within a year.

Direct basin recruitment

Since 2010, Social Change School is one of the most reliable recruiting basins for orga-nizations in the Nonprofit sector for profiles such as: Fundraiser, Project Manager for the international cooperation and managers and professionals in the humanitarian field. Social Change School Alumni have impactful careers in the most important organizations in the third sector such as: Greenpeace, Save the Children, Oxfam, Action Aid, Libera, Intersos, MSF, Red Cross in Europe, Africa, ASIA, South America.

OUR IMPACT

The SOCIAL CHANGE SCHOOL is an international Nonprofit and nongovernmental institution active in ‘social transformation’ with offices in Europe (London, Madrid, Milan, Rome) and Asia (Bangkok) dedicated to train professionals in the international cooperation world since 1997.

Social Change School collaborates with NGOs, student and citizen networks, universities, founda-tions, banks and enterprises, national institutions, representative networks:

Professional development, life learning education for managers through cutting-edge training and tools

Sharing of information and knowledge about professionals in the international cooperation with partners such as AIESEC, ERASMUS NETWORK, ALMA LAUREA (youth) and via mass me-dia. Recognition of the Professionalism of fellows with ISFOL (Ministry of Labour)

Spreading knowledge and understanding of the role of the third sector and its impact in our so-ciety in terms of social and economic development (institutional building locally and globally).

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Scholarships are available on the basis of merit for high po-tentials candidates . Each year the School with the support

of partners is able to provide scholarships for a total amount of 300,000 Euros.

Excellence on a continuum:The structure of the School with a scientific com-mittee, a teaching council and the alumni network, guarantees high quality learning approaches and continuous updating on the basis of social and ma-nagerial innovations in the third sector:

Students, lecturers and important practitioners create together a system of excellence in terms of education and opportunities

Looking forward: the continuous exchange with the partners (NGOs, organizations of the third sectors and PA) guarantees the matching among the educational offer and the concrete needs of the market

Thanks to its networks the school has an in-tegrated vision on the third sector and on the needs of the community and anticipates the fu-ture needs of the organizations by adapting its courses

The Social Change School Scientific Committee, ‘IMPACT’ gathers personalities joined together by the tension of social innovation. An undertaking which goes from the Observatory of Professions and the Work in Nonprofit (2005) to that of Le-ader2Leader – the Italian network of managers of Italian Nonprofit centered on the exchange of good practice – in 2008, from the building of a theme panel and task force, to research and to management books, to joint project conventions and undertaken with European opinion leaders of the sector, the organizations, the Foundations and the Enterprises.

Marco CrescenziPresidentMarco lives in Madrid after he has lived years between Rome and London. Specialized in Experimen-

tal Social Psychology Nonprofit Management and jour-nalism – since 1978, he has been involved in managing Nonprofit organizations. Marco is founder and Presi-dent of the Social Change School and in the last ten years has been involved in many initiatives: Coordinator of the ‘Observatory on Nonprofit Labour Market” (Italy) ’2003-2008. Co-founder of Euclid Network, the Associa-tion of European Nonprofit Managers (London/Paris 2006-still member); Co-founder of I-SIN, Italian Social Innovation Network (Rome/Naples 2011-still member); Responsible for Leader2Leader, Co-ordination of Italian Nonprofit Managers (2008-2010); Member of the Mana-gement and the Scientific Committee of Symbola-Foun-dation for Italian Quality (2005-2008), ACEVO member, since 2006. Before Social Change School he worked for over 20 years in the for Profit Sector as entrepreneur and manager.

Isabel WhiteAdvice2go (Director)The whole world now recognises the importance of the Nonprofit sector to help deliver the kind of world we all want to live in. Outside the US and UK, too few agencies have risen to the task of teaching tomorrow’s Non-profit leaders. Happily through its FRAME Masters programme, Social Change has undertaken since 1997 internationally, and I am proud to have been part of it for the last five years. The sector is in good hands as its expertise is applied in other countries around the world, we will see a welcome increase in the professionalism and effectiveness of its gra-duates.

WORKSHOPS

The masters of Social Change School have an inte-grated structure of workshops, online lectures and field experiences.Workshops represent an important moment of sha-ring and discussion among master students who have the opportunity to listen and exchange with professionals and practitioners from the most impor-tant organizations of the third sector. The workshops are a unique opportunity to:

meet lecturers – among the best professionals of the sector

create networks with fellows and organizations involved in the workshops

better understand the development of the sector with the support of experts of the third sector

deepen the understanding of the sector. The stu-dents also receive materials to foster their know-ledge on the topics

DISSEMINATION

Social Change has published several books on Nonprofit Management themes, amongst which the first volume in Europe on Non Profit Manager (by M. Cre-scenzi, Mondadori 1998), the volume ‘Guida Internazionale alle professioni ed al lavoro nel Nonprofit’, (by M.Crescenzi - E.Bonacini, EMI 2005), ‘Valutare la Qualità del Non Profit’ (by M.Crescenzi, ASVI 2007), ‘Social Innovation e Social Business’, (by M.Crescenzi, 2012), the first book in Italy on the subject of social innovation and social business.

THE MASTER DEGREES

The masters of the Social Change School are sponsored by the Forum del Terzo Settore, accredited and supported by Euclid Network – The network of managers of European Nonprofit. The Master Programmes are co-designed with the managers of the most important and innovative organiza-tions of the third sector, following the International Standard and ‘Skills Framework’ EU and USA. Professionals from the major organizations of the sector participate in the project and teaching of the Masters. The School offers three masters according to the needs of the sector:
