• Complete EVERY section
• Email addresses are REQUIRED

CHANGING EDUCATION
• This company checks all placements for Health and Safety – a long process
• There may be an extra cost
• Self Placement Forms MUST be returned Friday 11th December
NO PLACEMENT?
• School will have a list of placements
• Students will be asked their preferences in January
• We will help find a placement
CONTINUED
• No guarantees that we can match your dream!
• Expect to work a 37 hour week, not school hours
• You may be given a day off in the week.
• School doesn’t expect you to work on a Saturday
NEXT STEPS
When you receive confirmation of your placement:
• Is the placement suitable for you?• Check the address – can you get there?• Arrange an interview (well before the starting date)
PROBLEMS?
If the placement isn’t right:
• Discuss it at home
• Talk to Mrs Stephens before turning it down
• BE AWARE there are limited Work Experience opportunities
FINAL THOUGHTS
• All our students have a really good week
• The employers are usually very complimentary
• Some students are very lucky and get paid a small amount
• Others may get the offer of a part-time job
CONTRIBUTIONS
• No funding
• Costs to school approximately £40 per student
• £10 contribution requested
