Below you can find the steps to creating an account and the steps to basic functions on WordPress.Creating an Account1. Navigate to the webpage Wordpress.com on any internet web browser.2. Click on Create Website.3. Complete the required information, i.e. Email, username, and password.4. Decide whether or not to create a custom address. (If not desired at moment select No Thanks)5. Chose a theme for your blog.6. Decide and select the plan you would like to use. (Options vary between free, premium, and business)7. Once the account is established log into the email provided to confirm and validate account. After the account is verified you will see a green bar appear on your WordPress account and will receive an email informing you of the account validation.Customizing Your Webpage1. Under the menu Look and Feel select the option Customize.2. Decide what options you wish to customize and change.3. After you have made your changes and customized to your liking make sure to click on Save & Publish on the top left-hand corner. (This will save your changes)4. To return to your home page click on the x on the upper left corner.Adding Posts & Pages to Blog1. On left hand side click on Add Blog Post / Pages to add a new post or new page respectively. 2. When adding a new blog post/page you can add a title, customize the font, and preview what the post will look like before publishing. 3. On the same screen you can add images or sound.4. Once you have written your new post you can choose Save as Draft or Publish. Saving as draft will store post until you decide to take further actionSigning Out of WordPress1. On the top right hand corner click on your profile picture.2. Scroll to the bottom of the page, on the left hand side you will find a Sign Out option under the extras sections.Now with your new WordPress account and these steps to the basics you can successfully blog away!
