Raw material

WoolSustainabilty plays a central role in WOOPIES, a product made of virgin wool. The renewable raw material offers fascinating characteristics for our acoustic panels. We take advantage of the special quality of wool fibre, which is a completely natural product that grows on sheep.

The wool for our acoustic panels comes directly from our own swisswool collection system, which steadily collects wool from close to 30 places throughout Switzerland. Along the lines of �from sheep to shop and back’ we keep the long ways of our precious raw material as short as possible to guarantee a resource-friendly production of our WOOPIES.

SustainabilityWe painstakingly oversee each and every step of the panels’ manufacturing process and the origin of the raw material in order to create exceptional products out of unique swisswool: starting from the wool collection points in Switzerland through the gentle washing to further processing.

From start to finish, WOOPIES are being manufactured and ’made in Germany,’ more specifically at our company’s location in Dinkelsbühl. All materials only go short distances before they are processed and the origins of our wool can be traced end-to-end thanks to the FairTrace certificate of authenticity. This ensures that swisswool INSIDE means what you see is what you get.


What are WOOPIES?Our WOOPIES are one of a kind: Precious pieces of art, efficient acoustic paneling, beautiful seat cushions or the most attractive wall pullover in the world. Whatever WOOPIES are for you, they effortlessly enhance your rooms thanks to a variety of shapes, colours and beautifully understated designs.

Combined with coloured cover material made of swisswool loden, WOOPIES breathe an air of unpretentious elegance and provide a multitude of combinations and mounting varieties.

Attached to walls, ceilings, furniture or glass walls, WOOPIES significantly enhance room acoustics by simply reducing high noise levels and repercussions. They particularly block the frequency ranges most irritating to the human ear.

Apart from this, WOOPIES are also suitable as creative design elements in offices, nurseries or schools... wherever you want them, there is no limit to your imagination!

Colours

ConceptThey can be soothing, inspiring or even have appetising effects: Colours dominate our lives and have a huge impact on our wellbeing. Treat yourself and your rooms to an individual and cosy ambiance with our variety of colours.

Naturally grownNatural white, brown or flecked with grey – we love naturally grown sheep’s wool. The shimmering colours don’t only look beautiful, they also prove the authenticity of our unique acoustic panels.

Conventionally dyedIn addition to the naturally washed colours there are 13 conventional colours available for you to choose from. Higher purchase quantities significantly increase the number of available colours.

Naturally dyedThe natural dyeing process of our lodens is currently in development.


Design

The sky‘s the limitWe have developed three different surfaces, so that our WOOPIES find their place within their room. They are available in square or rectangular versions. The combination of shape and colour offers countless design options.To generate acoustic efficiency tailored to room requirements, our acoustic panels can be mounted in varying numbers and positions.

CornersWe currently supply all designs in standard dimensions with corners cut either at an angle of 90° degrees or at a radius of 7.5 millimetres.

You can do everything, but you don‘t have to.And by that we really mean everything, as long as we are moving within the boundaries of technical feasibility. Together with you we will gladly develop new panels individually tailored to fit you and your company.

Installation optionsWOOPIES come with a versatile range of installation options that makes assembly extremely easy and fuss-free. Whether they are directly mounted to the wall or at a distance, hung from the ceiling or used standing as a room divider, WOOPIES merge seamlessly with their surroundings.

The inserts WOOPIES are crimped on provide the basis for uncomplicated installation, as they contain the various fastening systems for wall and ceiling mounting. Our systems can be individually adjusted to each other, meaning maximum flexibility in every possible way.
