The exhibitor should enter the item as it best fits according to one of the following felting techniques:

Wet Felting: Traditional method of binding animal fibers, such as wool, together using soap, water and friction or agitation to make the fibers shrink and lock together.

Nuno or Laminate Felting: Binding animal fibers, such as wool, into a fabric such as silk, creating a single, fabric/felt combination.

Needle Felting: Dry animal fibers ar bound together using a barbed needle.

Machine Felting: A knitted, crocheted or woven item is shrunk with water, agitation and soap in a washing machine.
