Interim Associate Principal For Lower School Announced

As most of you know, Mrs. Eve Allen’s husband accepted an outstanding career opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia last month. Mrs. Allen has faithfully served The Woodlands Christian Academy for eight years, where she has built a strong academic foundation in our lower school. Fortunately, she will

continue to assist us next year from Atlanta as a curriculum consultant. We have begun a local and national search to identify qualified and experienced candidates to fill this role. Unfortunately, this is not the ideal time of year in which to find many candidates for such an important leadership position. However, we already have an extremely gifted leader on our staff. Hence - I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Patty Bruha will serve as our Interim Associate Principal for Lower School for the upcoming school year. Mrs. Bruha joined Woodlands Christian one year ago as an educational diagnostician in the Office of Enrollment and additionally serves – and will continue to serve - as the Director of our new Academic Center for Empowerment. From her first day here, Mrs. Bruha has embraced the mission of The Woodlands Christian Academy and exuded a passion for teaching, learning, and communicating. She is wonderfully engaging and her enthusiasm

for education is contagious! Mrs. Bruha has taught elementary and middle school students in both public and private school settings. She also brings extensive management experience to this role. Mrs. Bruha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Louisiana, and a Masters degree in Special Education with certification as an educational diagnostician from Sam Houston State University. Mrs. Bruha and her family are active members of The Woodlands United Methodist Church. Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Bruha into her interim role, and pray for us as we continue our search to find God’s next leader for our lower school.

Commencement 2016

Commencement exercises for the Class of 2016 were held on Saturday, May 28th at Crossroads Baptist Church. The ceremony was highlighted by speeches from valedictorian Matthew Dew, and salutatorian Hannah Bub. The thirty-five member Class of 2016 received merit based scholarship offers totaling $4,033,053.
