RCONA Update A great reminder from RCONA – The Roseville Coalition of Neighborhood Associations – that the City of Roseville Police Department is again hosting the Citizen’s Police Academy March 7-‐17, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday of each week from 9:30am-‐12noon at the Roseville Police Department. This eight-‐day academy is a great opportunity for community members to have an inside look at our local law enforcement. Topics include Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving, K-‐9 Unit, Investigation’s Unit, Records Division, Search/Seizure, Gangs, Narcotics and a tour of the Roseville Police Department. Academy classes are taught by police personnel and attendees will have the opportunity to meet with the Chief of Police and staff members. The Roseville Police Department hopes to instill a greater awareness and understanding of law enforcement’s role in the community, through the education provided by the Citizen Police Academy, as well as provide a great resource for volunteers. http://bit.ly/CitizensAcademyRPD And speaking of volunteers, if you’ve ever wanted to volunteer for the Roseville police department they offer a wide variety of opportunities. AND the Citizen academy is a required course in becoming a volunteer. So it’s a great opportunity in a myriad of ways.
Box Tops Reminder WONA is continuing our BoxTops drive. If you haven’t already, start clipping and saving! You can either drop them off at our meeting or save them up for our National Night Out Event in August. They will be donated to Silverado Middle School. Thank you!
WONA Meetings…Cont.
In December we enjoyed a cookie party. And in January, Kaye Swain, our social media specialist, awarded the $50 gift card to Britany Cunha for her lovely Christmas decorations at her home. And a hearty thank you to ALL our neighbors who participated in the contest. They were all beautiful.
