STRATHCONA COUNTY HAS EXPERIENCEStrathcona County has been host to a number of major tournaments and sporting events over the past ten years. Local sports organizations annually host regional, provincial and western Canadian playoffs in a variety of sports. The logistics of handling such a broad range of activities has left a legacy of experienced volunteers in the community. Millennium Place is a tremendous facility for sport development, provincial, national and international competitions and events.

RECREATION AMENITIES AT MILLENNIUM PLACEMillennium Place has a Combative Room for wrestling and has been designated as one of the training sites for the Canada’s National Development Program. The facility is also home to the Strathcona Wrestling Club. Millennium Place features an aquatic facility with a wave pool, steamroom, whirlpool and sauna. Cross-training opportunities are available in a state-of-the art full-service wellness centre, which includes an indoor fi tness track surrounding the Special Event Centre & Field House. Physiotherapy and food services are available on-site. Three major national and international wrestling competitions have been hosted at Millennium Place.

Competition / Compétition The competition will take place on September 27-29, 2012, in accordance with FILA rules and regulations. Offi cials / Offi ciels FILA Category 1 offi cials as selected by FILA rules. Local Transportation /Transport au solThe Organizing Committee will provide ground transportation, at no charge, from the Edmonton International Airport (YEG) to the host hotel/competition venue (40 Km). Venue is connected to Host hotel. / Le comité organisateur fournira gratuitement le transport de l’aéroport international d’Edmonton (YEG) au site et hôtel de la compétition (40 km). Le site est adjacent à l’hôtel.

Media / Médias A press room will be available to accredited media. Federations are requested to send passport photos (in JPEG format) of participants, in conjunction with the nominative entries to facilitate a media and spectator guide. / Les journalistes accrédités disposeront d’une salle de presse.
