In order to PURIFY our hearts we must:

1. Study the Word of God

2. Obey the Word of God

“The words of the Lord are PURE words” (Ps 12:6)

God will richly bless our faith and obedience!

Greek: acceptable, pleasing, fair and proper.(2 references in NT)

Hebrew: pleasant, agreeable, delightful, beautiful (physical), sweet-sounding, musical, becoming, and fitting.

“It was at this time that Moses was born; and he was lovely in the sight of God, and he was nurtured three months in his father's home.”

“Your cheeks are lovely with ornaments, Your neck with strings of beads."

“Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is lovely.”

A Symphony of Praise!

Creation is lovely!!!

We have a God who appreciates beauty and aesthetics!

God wants us to slow down and enjoy things of beauty in this world; whether it means stopping to enjoy.....

Breathtaking landscapes....

“How lovely are Your dwelling places, O LORD of hosts! (Psalm 84:1)

The intricate beauty and complexity of a flower...

“Not even Solomon in all his splendour was clothed like one of these!” (Mt 6:29)

A lovely fragrance....

“For we are to God, the aroma of Christ.” (2 Cor 2:15)

Or a piece of music that stirs your heart.

“I will sing and make music with all my soul.” (Ps 108:1)

The most lovely thing in the world is the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ; and we become lovely by allowing His Spirit to fill us, and by sharing His message with others.
