Women’s Conference

GIRL'S NIGHT OUT!!!! Covenant Church in Lincolnton is hosting the EQUIPPED AND EMPOWERED Women's Conference on Saturday, May 4 at 6:30 PM. Join us for a night of worship and fellowship. Sharon Goodson will be the speaker for the event. Dessert Bar catered by Pope Plantation. The cost is $5.00 per person. There is a sign up sheet in the front foyer along with a flier that gives all the details!!! All money must be collected prior to the event. We plan to take the church van. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!

Joyfully Well has started meeting again at Living Word. Joyfully Well is for all ladies of any age and fitness level. This is a time where faith and fitness meet. Ukraine 2019

It’s time to build the Kingdom in the Ukraine. We are planning to plant 3 churches, buy a bus to start a minis-try to handicapped children, and support our pastors in the 2 churches we planted last year. You are a critical part of this vital ministry. We need to raise $21,000 and have two teams go, one June 27 - July 5 and another in Septem-ber. When you give, earmark the funds for “Ukraine” and if you want to join the team in June, register with Joe Faldowski now. The cost of the trip will be $2,000 - $2,500 per person. We will keep you updated on progress towards our goals in the weeks ahead. Together we can touch and transform our world.

It’s that time of year! LWC is gearing up for a great 2019 Camp DaySpring. Registration forms for campers and staff volunteers are now available. Please see Pastor Brennan, or Pas-tors Kevin and Lisa High for a form or forms are available online at www.livingwordnc.net.

In order to qualify for the LWC scholarship, you must be registered by Wednesday, April 24th.

Bereavement Group for Men in Sherrills Ford: A new bereavement group for men is being held at Butcher Boy Cafe. This is great place for men who have experienced loss in their life to come together and enjoy a good breakfast and fellowship. The breakfast meetings are informal and are open to the community as well as to our current bereavement clients. This group meets every 2nd & 4th Monday 9-10 am at Butcher Boys Café, 6347 Hwy 150E in Sherrills Ford. Contact Justin Hendren at 828-466-0466 ext. 2102 for more info. Good Mourning Coffee Group: This coffee group is for anyone who has experienced a loss in their life and would like an opportunity to share a cup of coffee and connect with others. This is open to the community as well as to our current bereavement clients. No reg-istration is required. This group meets the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at 9:00am Panera Bread, 109 Williamson Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117. Contact Annette Walker at 828-466-0466 ext. 3208 for more information.

The cost of camp is $140. Some of our campers may need a little help paying for camp registration this year, or need help with other affiliated expenses such as a canteen card (used to purchase snacks in between meals at camp), or money for fast food for the trip on the way there and back.. If you would like to sponsor a camper, you may make checks pay-able to Living Word Church and memo the check “Camp DaySpring”.
