Parents: Friends or Foes Childcare Training
It’s normal for child care providers to have mixed feelings about parents.
Sometimes parents have mixed feelings about their childcare providers. A
workshop offered on Thursday, November 12, from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm at the
Guthrie County Extension Office will address these feelings.
Parents: Friends or Foes, a workshop for child care providers and teach-
ers, will help providers and teachers identify their own feelings about work-
ing with parents. Participants will also review the stages of parent develop-
ment, and potential communication strategies.
Dr. David Brown, ISU Extension Family Life Program Specialist, will be
teaching this workshop. Registration is $10 & payable to the Guthrie Co.
Extension office by November 12. Child care providers & teachers are
encouraged to also register via Iowa Child Care Training Registry at
https://ccmis.dhs.state.ia.us/trainingregistry/. Two hours of licensing credit
will be available. For more information, call 641-747-2276.
