THE MEDITERRANEAN BASIN
Is the whole land of Europe, Asia and Africa surrounding the Mediterranean Sea (sea between lands). It covers an approximate area of 2,500,000 km2. It is the cradle of many civilizations of the ancient West.
The Mediterranean Sea has been the scene of several geographical villages.The sea is the unifying element between them.

Agriculture is originated in the Fertile Crescent, but was not an easy activity, which caused the movement of human groups in search of new lands and the expansion of this activity.
The Mediterranean was used as a means of transport and trade of metals especially copper, tin.Through trade originated a number of sources which generate cultural exchanges across the Mediterranean.It should be noted:Egypt, Crete and Mycenae.
