How to set up iPads to Follow the Zzartmo Aurasma Channel (Without using email addresses)

With a QR code scanning app, scan this QR code:

Tap “Go Online”

Look for the mustache girl and find the FOLLOW button.

“Follow”

Look for the purple tab: Open in app to follow

Allow Aurasma to access your location - it works best this way.

Troubleshooting Hints After having students help me prepare their own iPads for Aurasma, there are just a few things that might go wrong and these are the fixes:• Reconnect the iPad to the internet / access point• Tilt the iPad to scan. Lighting/ reflection / glare can affect the aura.• If it doesn't work, rescan the Zzaartmo QR code and begin again. That fixes 98% of the problems.• The camera must be activated for the Aurasma app.• Restart the Aurasma app.

Look for the tiny “Skip” button in the upper right corner. We don’t want to see the tutorial.

When the StarBucks cups appear, touch the purple button at the bottom of the screen. This is the SCAN button.

Be patient while it makes the connection. The swirling dots means that it’s working.

You are ready to scan an image.
