What can you learn from Source A about women in the 1920s (3 marks)
Answer 1
Source A shows me a group of women who are dancing in a New York club. The women are wearing short skirts. Two of the women have pulled their skirts up. The women are posing for the camera. Some of them are smiling and waving at the camera. They are wearing high heels and have short hair styles. The women only seem interested in having a good time.Answer 2
Source A suggest that women’s fashions had become more daring. This is because the women are shown wearing high heels and short dresses. The source also suggests that women now had the freedom to dance in public. This is because the photograph shows them dancing in a night club.
